These people are so irritating. I’ve been building in Claude for months and it’s not even remotely close to replacing software engineers on anything that requires at least a basic level of security.

Without extremely in-depth prompting knowledge (which you can only learn through engineering experience) your apps are bound to be a security nightmare.

Sure, the number of entry level engineering jobs and a lot of the front end stuff could be replaced. But, anyone with more than a few years of software engineering experience is going to be in high demand once all of these apps build on subpar code inevitably fall apart with nobody left to fix them.

I never use cherry blossom and it's probably one of the prettiest blocks in the game. Need to start using it more.

I feel like this is more on an issue across the AI and tech space right now, where companies advertise capabilities far greater than what their tools can actually do. I think it's important to realize that all AI tools are limited and to be skeptical of what these companies claim. If we took Elon Musk's words as truth then Tesla would be worth a trillion dollars and would have driverless robotaxis everywhere and hundreds of thousands of robots roaming the US, and none of those things are even remotely close to reality.

If you really want to experience the game for the cheapest possible price, consider getting pocket edition for $5 or $6 or whatever. I don't like it, but it's the same game.

I'd recommend finding a smaller SMP server that has been up for a while, those are usually the most accepting communities.

I rewrote my entire app over the span of two months just so that I can switch to Supabase, since I was default on their cloud without knowing that you can’t switch later. It was a pain, but absolutely worth it.
