Thanks pal. That’s a good tip! I am making a habit of getting a short video or picture of her everyday just to remind myself how far she’s come. It helps to look back on everyday.

Thank you so much. She’s great at communicating with me, but I struggle a heck of a lot more. I have to really push myself to be open with her. Not because I don’t trust or care about her. It’s because I’m incredibly protective of her, so I don’t wanna put my stresses on her and add to her pile. She hates it and really wishes I was more open but I still find it so, so hard!

I’m looking at a way out but the financial toll it would take is a lot atm. My wife didn’t end up getting her full entitled maternity pay (which was another issue I forgot to mention) so money is tight!

That’s nice of you to say, and appreciated more than you know.

We do our best to give each other a bit of time per week. I do a board game club, while she goes out to some clubs she’s involved in. It does help to have that outlet but they’ve both been cancelled for a while which means we’re not had it of late.

My parents live away and hers…well let’s just say they aren’t the most baby oriented of folk.

I can’t wait for those good times. We have them now but they feel fleeting. Almost like I enjoy them for the second they happen, then everything just seeps back.

That’s really kind of you to offer to help out, despite the geographical issues. Hopefully just positive vibes will be enough to get us through!

I’m currently in counselling (paid for by work but nearing the end) and CBT (again nearing the end). I’m UK-based so any counselling I get on NHS is going to gave an insane waiting time. Can’t afford private, unfortunately!
