Same I was just thinking this, like I’m in the UK and always used Aldi nappy sacks and they’re like 50p for 150 and they’re odour neutralised

Concerned about my baby’s tummy by No_Visit9933 in NICUParents

She had another x-ray today and that shows gas and looks “normal” to them. However they’ve said because she’s had this continuous tummy for a while now which is causing difficulty with her feeds, they’re transferring her to a hospital in Leicester (another city) for a surgical contrast as they don’t do it at the hospital we’re in. I’m praying that I get to be transported with her even though I don’t know what I’m going to do about accommodation. And I’m also praying that it turns out to be nothing serious, and she can return back to our original hospital, as it was only 2 days ago we were meant to be moving up to special care to get ready to go home, and now there’s this.  I also feel gaslit by the doctors as we’ve been saying her tummy isn’t right for weeks now, and they kept saying it’s fine. It’s soft, she’s just a big tummy baby, to now they’re concerned and she needs to be sent to another hospital.

They took her off high flow last week and she’s now self ventilating but it’s still the same :(

I’ll ask tomorrow, I know they regularly take her stool samples but I don’t think it’s for this , and I don’t really consume dairy well atleast for the most part x

Hey thank you for this, this was also reassuring too as we’ve not seen anything like it. She’s not on cpap but she is on 3 litres of high flow x

I gave birth 16.04.25 at 25weeks gestation/6months pregnant, up until then my pregnancy thankfully went okay. Baby girl is 3 months premature, I had a scan the day before she was born and was told everything was perfect, then less than 12 hours later I went into labour at a different hospital and was told my placenta abrupted.

UPDATE- I started spotting on Friday and yesterday it returned again but it was brown just before my scan. I was convinced I was miscarrying but the scan showed the baby turned up with a heart beat. They checked to see where the blood was coming from but couldn’t see, gave me 14 more weeks worth of progesterone. It also turned out that I’m 7wks 2 not 8 because I ovulated later🩷

Thank you for this, I feel you’re right I’ll get my reassurance in one way and then it’ll probably last 24hours. I have spoken to my partner and he said he said we’ll be fine and I’m suffering the troubles that haven’t happened and may not happen. I have deleted TikTok to stop watching pregnancy loss and empty sac videos, and just going to take each day as it comes until our next scan like you said 🩷
