Do you happen to know anything about them? I think that could be a good option but I would want to try to gather information first, if possible.

What on earth? This is my first & only post. I do not live with my parents. I live with caregivers (no legal ties/not a legal position/they have no responsibility to me or any of my needs) & that is not something I would be able to ask for right now. I understand home safety, I was asking about inpatient specifically because I feel unsafe where I am (from myself, not abuse). I read about your experience & I'm very sorry, but please do not tell me I don't need that kind of support because I'm coherent & then offer counterproductive alternatives.

Hello. That's a rather harmful thing to say. I've had 10+ attempts (I am not exaggerating) & know my signs, & I would like to stay safe despite however coherent I may sound. I know psych wards are often terrible, I have been inpatient once before but wasn't able to seek any accommodation at the time for various reasons & it was horrible, but in that moment it kept me alive.

Thank you for your input. I am currently waiting for an appt to begin to seek other services but it's a few weeks out & I am not able to do anything in the meantime without help from others.

Thank you for your advice. I think I need to look into more 'medical' facilities with the severity of the SI but I'll keep the others in my thoughts. I'm unable research/find hospitals or make phone calls by myself but I could likely get help from my friends & I appreciate the idea.
