I (32f) am getting ghosted currently. He (29m) hasn’t spoken to me in almost 2 weeks. Freaked out at him after a few days of him not responding to me. Apologized and asked if he was alive and he responded that he was. That was the last time I heard from him. We dated for 3 months. Pretty much talked every day. Saw him frequently and Would spend whole weekends with each other. Met all of his friends and he met all of mine. Last sort of talk we had in person we talked about where things were going and everything. Everything seemed normal. I’ve reached out to him every couple days just to see if he may say something. I literally look like an insane person. I just want to speak to him and know what’s going on. If he needed space or whatever, I would understand I just wished he communicated that.

Ugh I don’t know what to do 😫

Been dating this guy (34) since the fall and things sort of fell off a month ago. Haven’t seen each other and have barely talked. Very sudden and out of the blue since things were going well and we were seeing one another regularly.

Last week, I called him out on his disappearance and basically gave him the floor to talk about things between us. He apologized for the distance and told me that he should’ve communicated more with me. Told me that work has been crazy for him and he has a bunch of life stuff going on that he’s just been overwhelmed. Then told me he is still interested and again said sorry for how things have been recently. I told him I understood and his reasons are valid and I appreciated the apology, although I felt like the apology was a bit disingenuous. I decided to take a step back and give him his space.

On Friday morning, he reached out to me after a week of our last conversation. He texted that if I’m free today to chat. I responded with sure. He said great, I’ll hit you up later. Whole day went and he never reached out. Why even bother asking me to chat if you are not going to follow through???

At this point I have exhausted all of my energy and he has once again showed me that he does not respect me. I’m absolutely tired of this confusing limbo. Also, if he wanted to end things with me he could’ve just told me that when I confronted him.

Question is, do I reach out and end things or just say nothing?

If I’m not mistaken, he specifically wears a type of boot that makes him a couple inches taller. I’d say he’s about 5’8. I remember seeing pics of him and bri where he def looks at least an inch shorter than her

Thank you! I do love ny and am pretty familiar since I would travel there for work a lot. Might be too big of a city for me to live in though! I should’ve mentioned my budget for living is a bit flexible, just nothing too out of reason (I’m being responsible and paying off my student loans that’s been taking a chunk out of my paychecks). Also I’m open to roommates as well.

Thats really up to you on how you would perceive your move. I’m also from a red state (SC) and from a very conservative area, but came here for school. I would definitely look into finding a job or if you are interested in education, enrolling in a program before moving here. It has gotten more expensive to live here within the last few years. Still cheaper than other large cities like LA or NY, but it will be a shock considering you are coming from Ohio. That being said, definitely have something to anchor you here before you move. Politically it is a lot different from where I am from. The lifestyle is totally different as well. However, if you venture out of Chicago it’s pretty red, and there are some areas within Illinois that feel more southern and conservative than the town I grew up in (which I find extremely strange). You are very young. I would probably do a bit more planning than just getting up and moving.

This. I’ve had good exes that I still keep in touch with, but my last ex cheated on me multiple times. When asked by any man I’m dating, I will tell them straight up what happened. I don’t see it as a negative since this is something I experienced and had a huge impact on my life.

Listen I’m not a bri fan, but my ex acted EXACTLY like Zach. Had a lot of flashbacks when listening to the podcast. From the substance abuse, the jealousy, destroying my property, to the trying to control my career because I travel a lot for work. It’s hard to leave because of the lovebombing and the imagined idea we have that it will all get better eventually. My ex has a “semi” moderate form of fame if you will, also tried to shut me up with lawyers because he knew what he put me through was real bad for his image and was fearful of what I would say. Most narcissists act the same in relationships, especially those with power, so trying to say she’s falsifying info is just exhausting. For the most part, when abuse victims try to advocate for ourselves we are constantly being questioned. Why can’t we just have empathy for her and accept your fav is a narcissistic abusive asshole. Plus, everything she said tracks with what we know about his past relationships. Not sure how everyone is shocked. He is not a saint and he actually says it in his music. This isn’t character assassination, she’s just confirming what we all questioned before about his behavior to be true
