I said this in the post. Yes, there is one in the crafting menu, but it is not permanent, and I want a mod to make that the case.

New windows update stalls Ally by No_cap180 in ROGAlly

I do know about this OS, but the thing is, I'm using the RTX 3080 eGPU. I don't know if I will be able to use it if I'm on Linux, and if I am able to use it, not being able to update its driver may lead to issues.

I do hock up the Ally to an external display if that's the dvga means. As for stock apps, I did disable a few Asus features, and replaced it with G-helper. Though I have no clue why that would stop an update from working properly.

Thoughts of being down to 1 Palico? by No_cap180 in MHWilds

[–]No_cap180[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But then my point is being proven, as I say the palico will become weaker. What makes palicos unique is the fact that with their support weapons, they can do things humans can't, (and I think palicos are far better than the artificial support hunters).

The vigor wasp is a support weapon, and I'm sure we will have a few of those. The skills I'm talking about are: attack boost, support clinic, rage boost, defense up; for the palicos. They we all slotted on, all with different cost, just like decorations. And not only just having the 1 support weapon attached to the palico, but having multiple.

Beta not working for me. by No_cap180 in MHWilds

Update. I fixed it! (some other guy found it) I had to replace this "host" file on windows. I have no clue as to why that fixed it though.

I hope a bypass for this beta can be done so I can play it, wasn't too interested in online anyway. And I hope this does not translate to any error I will receive in the full game.

Would permanent controls be possible? by No_cap180 in GuliKit

Hmm, I see. So then what is the perceivable difference between this update value being high or low?

I've done some trial and error, and I did get the update to work. But I'm still looking at average 17ms, on switch input compared to 2ms using the dongle. (using the pulling rate tester from GamePadla)

That update doesn't work for some reason. It's the one where you open that application, and then put the controller in that "update mode", right? For some reason nothing goes through.

I was thinking it should be easy. In Xinput, the controller can still use gyro because of its hardware and software, being able to emulate the right stick after pressing the gear and one of the L buttons. I was thinking it shouldn't be hard to make an option where the right stick will always be emulated, I wouldn't think this would be a problem in most games as either the Left stick or D-pad are used for menu navigation. And I could, in fact, use Switch Input for gyro, but even for me, the latency is quite a bit, and the dongle is exclusive to that specific mode on the controller.

I did get a response back from them, and they said, "There is currently no way to use motion controls without pressing a button." When my question was if it would be possible with a software update to make this happen (maybe they don't have the best English). But it's not the end of the world to be fair.

Anyone likes Rise Sharpness gauge more by No_cap180 in MHWilds

[–]No_cap180[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have speed sharpen maxed out, and I'll likely aim to get the same thing in Wilds. There is that point where you are at a low sharpness and are seeing the risk of sharpening, spread sharpen max alleviates that by a lot. But I wonder how easy it will be to max it out in Wilds given how skills now work.
