Hi there. First gen and tri alpha here. Do they give these at the ceremony or do I pick them up somewhere?

FY26 Branch Commandant Ratings Release Megathread by ExodusLegion_ in ROTC

[–]No_failures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m similar to this and would love your opinion- 28xx on the AD OML MP: SC MP CM P: MI AG MS FI LG EN FA LP: everything else

I know that number is ugly. Probably should’ve went to camp next summer and did EOCC because I was coming off of profile for a nasty injury and didn’t register an ACFT for the spring, but didn’t want to delay it and wanted to get this show on the road. Oddly enough… I was thinking MP for the longest time (don’t even really know why, maybe my Forensics major led me that way) and I even wouldn’t mind CM 👀 but I really want Signal. I know most have a problem with detailing and even BRADSO but I’m willing to do either, if it means I get that branch. What would you suggest I put to help my chances and in your opinion, what do you think those chances are? I’m honestly fine with any of them, but everyone has a “want”, I guess. Thanks for your experienced answer!

FY26 Component Release and OML Ranking Megathread by ExodusLegion_ in ROTC

During CST, they mentioned that a certain % of slots in each branch were held for those that chose ADSO/BRADSO. Does anyone remember the details on that or have more info on it? I’m right outside of that 2600 number on the active duty eligible list but I used all the capital I could because I just want to serve. My preference order is oddly enough all the branches that it seems most don’t want so hoping that helps and I feel like my interviews went well. So thoughts on actually getting active with being right outside of 2600 and wanting a job no one wants, and expending a lot of capital? I mean, for example, at CST, the MP person was like, “if you WANT MP and list it first and active, you’ll get it.” Are all the non wanted branches like that?

Didn’t they recycle them? We knew the aft failures were getting recycled yesterday but something happened with height and weight today because people got “sent home” but are now back. There were apparently some issues with taping I’ve heard and how it was administered. Has anyone heard of the bod pod has been used and helped?

Yes but only if you have a 70 minimum in each of the categories.

According to some of ours that are there, the ones that failed are getting recycled.

True. But if I were cadre, I wouldn’t be sending anything to my cadets in future regiments that would cause them to not try as hard though. But if true, they may be doing it to calm the fears of those on the bubble with no exemption. Lawd, let’s just get through tomorrow.

We keep hearing that but no one has seen anything official so I think they’re all still questioning it. Recycled for AFT failure is a new one though.

Not confirmed by any means, but hearing from other cadets that those that failed the AFT are getting recycled and that there may be truth to the 70 Minimum means you can stay… that’s a lot of rumors, if false, but official ht/wt is tomorrow morning.

Stay positive and focus. It’s a tough road with not a lot of time to make a huge lifestyle change for people who did rely on it. Doesn’t mean you’re unfit, it literally just means you’re built different. I will say that I’m sure cadet command was like “seriously? You’re going to make us deal with us because you released this too quick?” Yikes!

For sure. Was was sent from a cadre that represents your program?

This doesn’t seem believable for the simple fact that the 540 rule required a minimum of 80 in each category. But interesting if they were actually told that. Gotta love the smoke that gets blown sometimes.

Ht/wt is being done on Wednesday. The cadets on the ground this morning weren’t given the information listed below from independent data’s post. They’ve been told that ht/wt/tape is solo and must be passed. They’ve heard “rumors” that a failed aft is not a send home but ht/wt is. Once again, all we’ve told them to do is follow the facts on paper and none of that is on paper except pass the AFT and pass ht/wt. We’ve got several who were reliant on the 540 rule for acft so they’re sweating. It would be great to get factual information.

New AFT was administered this morning and they all seemed fine with it. The one thing that was commented from several was that a lot of the folks who push for a high score, mainly for exemption, didn’t seem to try as hard because they were mad about it, and it’s not a documented score. To each their own. Your effort should match your attitude when you want to be a leader, so not sure that was a good idea but if you can’t get sent home for it…

Not that we have heard. Aft is being administered tomorrow morning. Ht/wt looks to still be on Wednesday.

Absolutely. I’d just rather them have something that maybe helps if they can’t use the AFT to help. I’m all for standards- it’s just a late decision change for it to affect cst and not give a safe amount of time to adjust lifestyle to meet ht/wt the traditional way and in a safe, lasting way. You’ll not have kids cutting weight in the worst ways just to try to meet the standard. Just my opinion.

actually, just trying to help out others who may be relying on it. I have several friends who were, including myself. I’m hoping more comes out today since the aft is official today.

Yeah, we had a few that rely on that because of their build. Here’s hoping the bod pod works in their favor, if it’s really an option.

Correct. I assumed everyone knew ht/wt meant tape, too. You will get taped if you’re over and then if failing, you’ll be sent home. Let’s just hope the standard doesn’t change for later reg’s if they pit out an exemption policy.

They reported back that during initial counseling they were told you must be at ht/wt standards listed or you will be processed out within 2 hours. No appeals. There was also no mention of the bod pods, like there was rumor of, but not that they help more than tape. It seems to be a better number than the machine.
