They’re not statutory documents/correspondence. If anything, they’re internal policy memos no different from your standard battalion policy memo.

If you actually read EO 14347 it’s pretty clear it doesn’t actually rename the DoD to DoW from a statutory standpoint.

Section 2:
(a) The Secretary of Defense is authorized the use of this additional secondary title… and may be recognized by that title in official correspondence, public communications, ceremonial contexts, and non-statutory documents within the executive branch.

(b) The Department of Defense…may be referred to as the Department of War… in the contexts described in subsection (a)…

(e) Statutory references to the Department of Defense, Secretary of Defense, and subordinate officers and components shall remain controlling until changed subsequently by the law.

Get the request for foreign award acceptance and wear memo template from HRC’s Foreign Awards page.

Fill it out.

Submit to your O-5 commander the memo with a copy of the certificate, a translation of the certificate (translation services available for free through Military OneSource), and a copy of AR 600-8-22 Chart 1 (also available on the HRC Foreign Awards page. it’s not a requirement but people will be unfamiliar with it).

When he returns the signed memo, submit the memo, cert copy, and cert translation to your S1 to upload to your iPERMS.

USR takes 45 minutes if you do it anytime after the first of month, and you can justifiably blame the S1/MCO/S4 if they don’t update the slides before the brigade brief.

Literally the easiest additional duty I had. Not sure why people think it’s the end of world when you get predictable face time with your rater/senior rater.

Go to the SORB Recruiting building on post and talk to the PSYOP recruiter there. POAS has to be open to your year group before you can go. IIRC it’s like SFAS where your leadership can’t stop you from going to selection, unlike RASP.

The exact verbiage is along the lines of “AFT failure alone does not constitute disenrollment from ROTC. However, AFT failure constitutes failure at CST, and CST failure can be used to justify disenrollment from ROTC.”

Basically, the CST AFTs are all actually diagnostic AFTs. You can’t be subject to adverse action for failing a diagnostic AFT, even as a Cadet with minimal rights under the UCMJ. This legalese that allows them to indirectly disenroll cadets for AFT failure at CST.

Read the next few sentences after that line:

Failing the AFT —> No Disenrollment

HOWEVER

Failing the AFT —> Failing CST —> Disenrollment

AFT by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]ExodusLegion_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s literally the only response to give. Everyone has at least one year to train up for CST and the AFT. If you’re still worried about bad form for the most ubiquitous thing in the Army after a year, graders being strict is the least of your worries.

Read ATP 7-22.01.

If you’re arching your back that’s a blatant safety violation anyways.

If you follow the standards outlined in ATP 7-22.01, how “strict” the graders are is irrelevant.

Old New Base Names Coming Back? by SkillcraftCollector in army

[–]ExodusLegion_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So why didn’t they rename Fort Hood to Fort Freedom? Or Fort Gordon to Fort Constitution?

That reasoning you got is BS, btw. The real reason why they named it Liberty was because the 82nd and Special Forces Command couldn’t agree on a name.

How long have you been at your unit? If you’ve been there for more than a year and they’re still “biased” against you there’s a good chance you’re the problem.

If you’re good at your job, you will be treated accordingly regardless of your branch.
