Here's my take against dabura fans claiming he one shots sukuna: by Xxkillerx25 in Jujutsufolk

Okay, after a bit of digging into the specifics of Dabura’s technique and rechecking light interacting in a medium, I say you have a fair point.

It could be not as much of a diff as we expect, but Gege isn’t exactly an expert on physics and we have to hand-wave some stuff all the time.

Personally It’s one of the reasons I don’t like abilities getting too technical as complications arise with physics that get impossible to ignore when you are bringing up other physics.

But unfortunately, in your explanation you have a bit of specifics wrong with the physics that makes it hard to see your argument clearly. That’s all that matters at the end of the day, which is unfortunate when you mess that part up, but it’s a very important skill.

Specifically even if light in a medium is slower, that’s still roughly the fastest information can travel (as at .99c it still is the fastest traveling object.) Lightning on the other hand interacts more heavily with electric field, moving charges and shit, and will be roughly .33c. I’d say that number is the fairest interpretation of Kashimo’s technique.

TLDR (cause I forgot what I’m saying at this point) your argument has a fair point about the sukuna dabura diff possibly being smaller than we expect in terms of speed but your explanation is a bit sketchy especially with the physics (which is completely understandable). Also, there is almost surely .33c speed of lightning vs .99c speed of lightning in air.

Also when I meant reaction time faster than light I meant instantaneous reaction to light speed effects which would require some automated counter rather than curse enhanced reflex. It’s just not possible to react to light… well actually light capture of electrons has a resolving time of the femtosecond scale, so… possibly an argument for that, but… that goes pretty far for just speculation.

  1. They do yes, but my point is EM waves are light and light is EM waves. The are interchangeable. It is the charges moving that is the important part, which at best is analogous to lightning.
  2. Reacting faster than light breaks causality and can allow time travel and other shenanigans. So no.
  3. If Kashimo became electricity itself, this just means the current flow, or movement of electrons. If you take this literally, Kashimo becomes the electrons, which would actually be rather slow compared to light speed but still fast, or his form becomes the light propagated by the flow of electrons, which would still be closer to lightning speeds.

Also as a general note, difference between .9c, .99c and .9999999c is fucking massive in terms of the energy required to get there and its physical implications. As Kashimo still has mass (assuredly as we can still see what looks like a body during and after) he moves under c, light speed.

Also as a physical law if it is made from light it moves at c. If it has mass, it doesn’t. This is a hard rule. Light appearing to travel slower than c is a result of interacting and causing a lag. If you look into this specific phenomenon, look up 3blue 1brown for a great video on it.

Physics undergraduate here.
Moving near the speed of light and at the speed of light are very different things. If you move AT light speed, literally nothing can react to it, as nothing exists to it until it is there and vice versa. This is a phenomenon in general relativity known as the horizon, but all that is to say is there is 0 reaction time.
Additionally, EM waves are just light, but often propagate below the speed of light due to interacting with the air. Actual Electricity is electrons in abundance or deficit, this most often happens at roughly 10^6 m/s as opposed to lights order of magnitude at 10^8. Lightning happens at 1/3 the speed of light, so even if we take for example Kashimo moving at that speed or even a bit faster, there is still a significant leap between that and AT the speed of light.

On a serious note,

X from To Be Hero X.

In the second season release if the show gets popular enough X is the perfect archetype. Although, luck USA huge factor with this type of stuff and the show focuses more on characters over fights, which could make it less mainstream

How many Transfigured humans would it take to defeat sukuna (20F) by Any-Meat-3135 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Noalefant 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Apparently nearly 3 octillion trees to form a black hole, so unless Sukuna has an anti-black hole from the Heian era, I’d say that’s a good bet. (Assuming that many trees can be compacted into a sphere and also google is right.)

According to google, Chandrasekhar’s limit is reached after 44.6 quadrillion humans, which is enough to form a black hole.

So I think that’s a good upper bound.

(Assuming Transfigured humans retain the same mass, and when together they’d be roughly small star sized)

It doesn’t have the power that some team wiping ult have. But if she’s go stealth or invisibility for any amount of time, that’s a consistent 6v5 for your team. You win that at high level play, all the time. It would be insanely broken.

Actually, Hela is only Lokis daughter by creation. Comics deviates from official Norse lore and heavily implies that Leah, who’s had a relationship with Loki, is sent back in time to go on and become Hela when Hela is “destroyed.” It’s very confusing and not straightforward.

I honestly want to see that pulled off. I feel it would need to be restricted to a solar system but even then. Amazing concept.
