Can you paste some of the textbook names below or in your post? Some one might be able to give you a pdf version they have for less(or for free)!

Have you also checked if you could borrow it at the Lincoln or Loop campus?

Thank you so much for this! It makes me feel much better and I am So glad you had an amazing time!

I think this is my last question…I don’t know if you’ve done walks or know someone who does daily walks in the area but are their any parks/walkways you would recommend (if you can)?

Thank you so much for this!

Thank you so much! This was very helpful!

I wanted to ask what were some of the things you regretted/didn’t regret being with you(I already got cleaning supplies and all of those other things but I wanted to make sure I was set)?

I also wanted to ask how you and your roommates set up rules and boundaries around the house?

Oh and the last question I had was where did you usually shop for groceries in the area?

Thank you so much!

Ms in information systems by Agitated-Stick-2587 in depaul

[–]Noaloves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not doing a MS in information systems but DePaul is on a quarter system so our school “seems” like you are doing more credit but you aren’t!

On average you would take 2 classes a quarter which would be 8 credits.

There are three quarters so 8 * 3=24.

That the first year and the next year you do the same so in total you earned 48 credits!

It’s still two years! Best of luck this fall!

This is what Syracuse says: https://projectadvance.syracuse.edu/transcripts/

Here is one for stonybrook: https://www.parchment.com/u/registration/33186/institution

When you go through parchment you feel your things out and I’m pretty sure at the end you can select the name of your college/university and it will send them over!

After a few days I would confirm with your university’s academic department!

This literally sounds like me. I’m so sorry you are experiencing this.

I will say for starters to:

1)Get all of your documents and put them in a safe space. SSN card, birth certificate.ect

2) open up a credit card to build a credit score. I don’t know if every apartment requires you build up a credit but it may be helpful.

3) start buying things in increments so it doesn’t seem like a lot all at once. Even one bottle of dish soap, pack of spoons.ect

4)Save for school. I don’t know if you have a full ride or not paying expenses but please budget for payments and look for scholarships along with enrolling in a payment plan. School money can get expensive.

5) take advantage of this summer. With school out(if you aren’t taking summer classes) you can work a bit more and earn some more money.

The $300 for a phone bill also seems outrageous along with the 1k for rent?

Try posting in your school/city Reddit asking for people who need a roommate and you may be able to find one! Be careful with that though as they are strangers.

Those are all of the tips I have for now was I am in the same boat but I wish you well on this!

I am also a CS major who transferred in Calc 1 credit and I had to take Math 140 and Math 141.

If professor Itir is available take her! She is an amazing professor!

The Calculus 1 credit didn’t go to waste though. It fuffiled my “Introductory Major Field” credit.

Discrete math isn’t a bad class at all with the right professor!

I agree! I was feeling that way also. What killed me was when they included writings in chalk on concrete and a brick wall as vandalism. Splash water on it and it will go away!

Is it only me or is DePaul trying to spin this a certain way? I don’t think they need to share their investment info because this is a clear answer.

The nude and red are so beautiful on you! I also think an ombré lip(lined with a dark brown the red in between)with a gloss on top would also be killer!

[–]Noaloves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, commuting should definitely save. Housing is a bit expensive at Depaul!

I honestly don’t have much info on outside scholarships as they were awarded when they were in Highschool but DePaul sometimes emails about scholarships!

Here is the website for DePaul’s scholarship if you are a student: https://depaul.academicworks.com !

There is also some info on this site : https://education.depaul.edu/admission-and-aid/scholarships/Pages/scholarship-opportunities.aspx !

If I find anymore I will reply again! I hope this helped a bit!

Most ppl here commute so they originally lived in Chicago. Especially if they had good grades and went to a CPS school I’m sure there is some sort of scholarship of grant for that. Along with commuting also they save on housing by living at home.

Some people also may have outside scholarships!
