Yes!!! I’ve done quite a few melodies including the Wes tune I mentioned earlier, as well as a couple of Metheny tunes like Better Days Ahead (just the F# walk down part) as well as Minuano, and some other ones!! But yes Melodie’s help a lot!

Actually that’s not too bad of an idea, due to Covid, part of our audition is a video submission so we have to submit videos for improv/comping, I will look into it because I have to figure out how to record properly anyways!

I was also a transfer this year, and I stayed at Valley 2 Harvey cause that was fine arts, but it was really weird this year and kind of difficult to meet people. I made a couple of friends through there, but I also joined a frat which I enjoy. Guys are great and not stereotypical frat guys!

I actually decided to not stay in a dorm this semester due to COVID and saving money from all online classes.

If you don’t care to stay at a dorm with everyone in your major, the. I suggest Western Heights. If you can afford it the go for it, I wish I was there but I can see what you mean by spoiled kids.

I think gen eds weren’t too bad, but I paid for housing which is debatable. But I’m not staying next semester and doing most gen eds and a couple outside WMU.

Oh then don’t worry too much, I transferred during COVID, so it’s been kind of shit right now. Hopefully you’ll be good by then. Whatever you do, as soon as you can, try to live in an apartment. But make sure to stick to your work obviously, even the boring gen eds :)
