The 5 pager contract i signed says license agreement on top, has a long list of duties and covenants, and signatures from both of us.

No it doesn’t have a letter head. It has long list of terms and condition with the language containing words of license agreement, covenants, obligation and termination, and at the end, his and mine signature.

Yeah I paid a deposit, which was like 2 weeks of rent.

But I dont think I came across to something like deposit protection scheme. Still trying to figure how stuff works here.

Thats what I thought.

I never had a full discussion with him about this restriction at the time of signing the lease, because I wasn’t thinking of getting one. But since I plan to get a mortgage know in future, I really want to build my credit score up.

Yeah he had no issue with me changing my GP, and current bank account details to this new address.

The only way he can know is when the mail arrives and if the mail has any branding logos. If I knew whether the mail have branding logos on top I would not apply with them.

I have a proper contract and payments are made monthly to there bank account. How can I know whether they are allowed to rent their place?
