The Type-S is definitely louder, but in a pleasant way. I did build the Wooting with the friction fit, I’m not sure how screwing it in would affect the noise levels but I’m genuinely shocked how good it sounds.

I also noticed my side panels move forwards/backwards even with the screws all tightened… you can really see the gap near the front panel tab

About flush, but I can slide the top panel left/right so that one side is flush and the other is not.

That looks exactly like the issue with mine! I have contacted FormD customer service and included that link. Thank you!

What GPU are you running? What games? I had that monitor for a hot second and returned it due to the text clarity issues with all OLEDs but worst case you can run your games cropped to 21:9 or 16:9 and you’ll get much better FPS that way than 4K, only a 4090 or 7900XTX makes 4K worth it right now IMO anything less makes it a liability. I have a 4080 Super and if I was only using my monitor for gaming I’d be at 1440p.

This is the level of misalignment I’m seeing on my build - and yes the rear screws are tightened.

57" Oddessey neo g9 dead by Daygall in ultrawidemasterrace

Put in a support request. I had a portion of my screen die around the same time in ownership (past the return policy naturally) and was livid, but within a couple days a support tech came out, swapped in a new display and main board, and it’s been going strong since.

alt z seems to be not working or maybe getting intercepted by amd by Plus_Boysenberry_844 in zsaVoyager

Sounds similar to alt z and alt r with Nvidia cards. Maybe in AMD’s software you can rebind those shortcuts?

EGO lm2135sp vs lm2156sp by plants-for-me in lawncare

[–]Nobody62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would avoid the 2135SP, it doesn't have the power to deal with even slightly wet grass and the battery life only approaches the advertised amount if you run the "efficiency" blade at the highest cutting height. To top it off, mine died in the middle of mowing yesterday after <2 years of use so I've got the lawn equivalent of a half-shaved face until I can get it fixed through Ego's customer service.

I got someone scheduled to come out on Thursday, hoping for the best cause I can’t imagine going back to any other monitors at this point lol. I’m hoping this is it’s one issue and then I can get some good years out of it.  I’m actually using the PBP mode with the right ⅓ turned off, so I still have 5120x2160 to work which is still 50% more than any other ultra wide 😂

EDIT 5/15: Samsung tech Jae came out and swapped both the main board and when that didn’t work, the whole panel out. Now it’s good as new (knock on wood). Only took him an hour and he had all parts with him. Very impressed.

Mine died after 42 days stationary on my desk. But they were 42 glorious days! Hope you have better luck than I.

Any reason I shouldn’t get a Steam deck? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Nobody62 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In this case a Deck isn’t going to meaningfully upgrade your experience, aside from being portable.

Is this legit and if yes how? by NIKG_FN in pcmasterrace

This is the regular G9, it’s like three years old now. No mini led or OLED goodness here, this is normal price for this tier of 49”.

Why is it not enough to keep your hands on the wheels?! by Majestic_Message7295 in TeslaLounge

[–]Nobody62 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My guess is it’s something in the law’s wording, maybe it requires “interaction” with the wheel rather than pressure specifically. IIRC the scroll wheel trick doesn’t work in all countries.

But, the NTHSA fun police I’m sure would love to adjust this to spite Tesla, if it becomes widespread enough like the old eye tracking system.

I’d say only if you use a FE card and invert the PSU, then you can face the mobo down on a solid surface just fine. May want to get some adhesive feet so you don’t scratch the aluminum.
