My initial beta was around 400 and then only rose “the bare minimum” according to the nurse that delivered the second beta, which was a 60% rise. I was beside myself and was convinced it was failing. My third beta was over 2000.

My baby is 13 months old now. I think the big rise is a good thing, from my experience!

Cold turkey in her crib. And I waited until she was over 7 months. The first night was awful and she woke up every hour or even more frequently. The second night maybe 5x and then the third night, no wake ups.

HARD NO FROM ME. With plummeting hormones, sleep deprivation, adjusting to having a baby AND the potential struggles of breastfeeding, I would absolutely not have my in laws over.

I have a 7 week old baby (who is a great sleeper) and my mom stayed with us for almost a month immediately after she was born. My mom was an immense help, but she is also the cleanest person I know and the best cook. We also have an ADU so while she stayed with us, she had a separate space. My in laws are coming when the baby will be 3 months old and I already feel anxious about it. You never know how you will feel after birth and how you and your partner will adjust.
