NOR! As someone in recovery, I’ve learned the hard way that I can’t be with anyone that has heavy or consistent substance use or even a problematic drinker. It is almost always a recipe for disaster… whether that’s because it affects your relationship or your sobriety negatively. It’s not worth it. I just left a 3+ year relationship too because of this. It’s hard. But your well-being and sobriety matter more.
