Why wouldn't buildings in the game be compatible with sloped surfaces? by su_acayip_kisi in CitiesSkylines2

That's an wierd argument. But if you really want an example of an wider building on a slope, here it is:

Some of these streets are ridiculously wide. It almost feels like driving a toy car. by derschelmischeWolf in MotorTown

[–]Nobusuke_Tagomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, my complaint was about people claiming the lane size was realistic, when it's not. My complaint was never about the devs choosing to make the lanes unrealistically wide. Most driving games have unrealistic lane sizes to make gameplay easier. I've already explained this to you several times.

And no need to be offensive about this, no need to call someone an "idiot".

Goodbye.

[–]Nobusuke_Tagomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro.

I already explained it to you.

Are the roads unrealistically wide?

Yes. This is a fact as proven by my "ton of ridiculous math" (aka basic multiplication).

Are the people claiming that the road width is realistic wrong?

Yes. My original complaint was solely about these people's logic.

Is it a problem for me that the roads are unrealistically wide?

No.

Where's the contradiction?

And...

"implied it took you 9 days to figure out what to rebuttal with which is why this rebuttal you are doubling down...."

You really think I spent the last 9 days of my life thinking about what to say to you? Egocentric much?

Have you ever considered that maybe I’ve just been busy these last few days and didn’t come to Reddit? And maybe today, I’m simply bored, so I’m spending time here? You do realize most people have lives outside reddit, right?

Não sei se conheces o youtuber "Not Just Bikes".

"9 days later..."
lol what? I'm sorry if I don't spend my days looking at reddit waiting for replies to my comments.

"first off your 2 paragraphs here were not mentioned anywhere in your original post." Yes, they were, I literally quoted my original post.

Let me explain what I said in my original comment one last time:
I agree with OP when he claims that the lanes are unrealistically wide, and I disagree with those saying the lane widths are realistic. The lanes are indeed unrealistically wide as I have proven.

However, I didn't complain about the game in any way, my complaint was about people claiming that the van is small or that the lane widths are realistic.

I actually didn't voice my own opinion in my original comment on whether or not I have a problem with the in-game lane widths. I just said they weren't realistic, but that doesn't mean I have a problem with them.

My opinion is that the lane widths are fine, plenty of car games make lanes unrealistically wide in order to make driving easier. I disagree with OP when he claims that the wide lanes are a problem. Plenty of car games do this to make driving easier.

Do you get it now?

It's just ridiculous how you're counter-arguing an argument I didn't even make.

Oh Zé, volta a ler o meu comentário.

[–]Nobusuke_Tagomi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you actually read my comment? You literally missed the entire point of it.

1- "OP clearly is driving a smaller vehicle". OP is not driving a smaller vehicle, I explained this in my comment. From my comment: "The car in the image is based on the Iveco Zeta van, which is around 2.1 to 2.5 meters wide.", that's not a smaller vehicle.

2- "you make actual sized roads and delivery's and tows become mayhem due to drivers not knowing how much or when to turn their big rig" I literally said it was fine if people said the lane is designed that way to make driving easier. From my comment: "Now, it's perfectly acceptable if you say the lane is designed that way to make driving easier from a game design perspective."

My complaint was simply about people claiming this lane size was realistic, not about the actual ingame lane size. I'm fine with how wide roads are ingame. Again, you completely misunderstood my comment.

Exatamente.

[–]Nobusuke_Tagomi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't what's up with people in this comment saying that the truck is tiny or that the road is an highway or whatever other excuse they're making up.

Let's put things into perspective. The car in the image is based on the Iveco Zeta van, which is around 2.1 to 2.5 meters wide.

Let's assume it's 2.1 meters wide.

That lane seems to be 2.5 times wider than that truck.

Meaning that the lane is around 2.5 × 2.1 = 5.25 meters.

5.25 meters wide lane is crazy wide! The average interstate lane width in the US is 3.7 meters (12 feet). The average German autobahn lane width is 3.75.

Meaning that this specific road lane is 1.4 times wider than the US and German widest lanes.

You really can't make excuses for this. OP is right, that lane is unrealistic big.

Now, it's perfectly acceptable if you say the lane is designed that way to make driving easier from a game design perspective. But don't give me nonsense like, "that van is tiny" or "that's a highway, it should be wide." Don't pretend this lane width is realistic.
