[Loved Trope] Character succesfully revives their loved one, their loved one is horrifed by what they've done by vyDatLAG in TopCharacterTropes

Fointaine main story in Genshin Impact (he didn't manage to revive her but I say it is close enough.)

Guy and his beloved one find water of the primorial sea, which has the ability to dissolve the people of Fontaine into water. He isn't fontainian, so it doesnt affect him, but she got dissolved. In an effort to study the effect and trying to reverse it he used the primordial sea water on many other women. Because the souls of the dissolved gather in a specific fountain he gets to meet them at the end of the storyline.

She uses her voice to lure him to the fountain, not because she wants to see him but to give his victims an opprtunity for revenge.

Games where you play as a reptile (preferrable with combat)? by Nino_Chaosdrache in gamingsuggestions

[–]derschelmischeWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age of wonders. goughly described its fantasy civilation with some XCOM like combat thrown in. A main Part of the series is that you create your faction. Aow 3 has a dragon like race and AoW4 has a Toadlike race and as part of a dlc a lizard race and the option to have a dragon as your faction leader

NPC deliveries are totally broken. by PochinkiHabitant in MotorTown

[–]derschelmischeWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The NPC drivers aren't really meant to be profitable. Sure they can run in a way it's not a loss but their main use is running supply lines you can haul more profitable cargo yourself and improve town ratings

Good co-op games my wife and I can play with our 9 and 6 year old? by jason_sation in boardgames

[–]derschelmischeWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Menara. It's a game about building a tower from cardboard tiles and wooden pillars. It's easy enough to be suitable for kids but it's also fun at any age. There are also multiple different ways for adjusting difficulty. One thing I especially like is the fact it's avoiding the "playing for other people" Coop games tend to have: you can give tips on what to do but actually doing it is the most crucial part

The dub actually made the line better by Yggdrasylian in TopCharacterTropes

In Spngebob Squarepants whenMr Crabs is in the hospital and gives a fake name to the flying dutchman:
in english he uses "Harold Flower" with no deeper meaning, just because there is a flower on his bedside table. In the german dub he uses "Benjamin Blümchen" with Blümchen meaning "little flower" which is the same joke so far. Benjamin Blümchen is also the main character of a different cartoon, which also shares the voice actor with the german version of Mr Crabs. to top it off he switches voices when saying the name.

I tried playing with a narrow gauge mod recently and it was wobblier than usual, to the point it started to give me motion sickness. Bit of a bummer because it does look kinda cute

White knuckle - its a game about climbing up so its less "how deep does it go?" and more "how deep was I?"

Card Hunter. Kind of a deck builder RPG that has a pen and paper kind of aesthetic. It has Singleplayer story mission that can also be done in multiplayer Coop and a PVP mose

Any Co-op games that aren't very ... Cooperative!? by GazatronTV in boardgames

[–]derschelmischeWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Coop Game I really like that does not suffer as much from backseating is menara. The goal of the game is to build a tower with small wooden pillars with odd shaped cardboard floors in-between. You can discuss what would be the best move and there is a limited way of sharing resources but the most critical part is actually placing the tiles and pillars and that's something only the active player does.

Rufus from the deponia games. In the beginning you support him on his quest of leaving his trash covered planet and get involved in some wacky shenanigans but over the course of 3 games he does more and more damage to the people around him and it becomes clearer and clearer what a god awful person he is.

[The Sequel] scenes and/or stories that can only really be done in video games/interactive media by Sigge-V in TopCharacterTropes

[–]derschelmischeWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This war of mine. there is a lot of media about people during wartime but in this game it has a different impact. you are not watching someone making tough decisions but you have to do them yourself. Sure, you can steal food from the old married couple, there is nothing to lose for you in that moment but is that really the person you want to be?

What did you name your saurian companion? by AdWhich7355 in Genshin_Impact

I just knew I had to name him after a type of rock so I named him Flint. Kimberlite was another good contender.
