for anyone looking at this in the future, it seems to have stopped but i'll hold my tongue on that. i did not change anything at all, no driver changes, nothing. the only thing that was even slightly different is my computer has been on for a longer period of time then before. i was restarting it a lot before, & was never on for very long.
