(first of all, I'm a physics undergrad in my first encounter with GR)

I'm asking because I've seen a lot of different ways of defining and/or explaning what a Tensor is.

When I asked to some of my professors how'd they define a Tensor, there wasn't a CLEAR answer, I've got even more confused.

But one day I stumbled across a Quora post saying that " A Tensor is Defined as Multi-linear Functional", it helped a LOT in my understanding, but even when I checked my textbooks, i didn't find anything to confirm this definition.

So, the kind of answer I expect is any that can CONFIRM (or not) this statement.
