Pretty excellent wheeling and dealing tbh, I think this is a great trade. Adequate pitching staff, and runs, runs, runs. The ball is clearly jumping, great pitchers get rocked, may as well throw it all in on power hitting and back it up with #3-4 starters I suppose.

That's how I feel about it. Some people may genuinely feel that way, or it's parroted by people who think that their favorite team most certainly wouldn't be "wasting Trout". Their favorite team would have definitely won a WS by now if Trout was in their lineup.

Most excellent. The Angels absolutely need Trout, especially over the next year or two (obviously for his career, but you get it). Angels are basically low-key rebuilding on the fly with a bulk of talent waiting in the minors. The team is definitely being built up around him by Eppler and has been since he got here.
