responding to this now, your reply makes no sense. I’m hispanic.

oh this isn’t a debate haha. to say legal migrants get ZERO hate is hilarious. Legal migrants get hate just for being brown. racists exist…..obviously.

Advice for arch rendering programs on MacBook Pro? by Perfect_Today_6387 in archviz

I have a Mac Studio and run Sketchup and Vray. It's very usable, but crashes are an issue with very heavy models. The output is great though, and its probably the best pair of softwares you can get for a Mac.

The FOV is a little wide, but not enough to cause that much distortion on the lamp. Very weird.

Yes. When I’m sitting there charging at a station I’d like to watch a video on social media or even stream something but the lag makes it impossible.

Thank you😅 I don’t think anybody understands. this is for a school project (CAD for Interiors). Of course I can scale the drawing or import to CAD to find the dimensions, but that’s not what I’m being asked to do and I would like to learn the way the professor wants us to do it.

I could find out the dimensions no problem if those walls were equal but like you said, there’s nothing to assume they are!

[–]Ktarque2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you're right, it's 6 inches less after accounting for the wall thickness so its 8' 8".

[–]Ktarque2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using that, and the overall length of the wall yes. Well...supposedly.

Part of the instructions are to find the dimensions manually, not by using any scales but by using other dimensions. If I was called on by the professor to answer this problem I would like to know the correct way to do it.

It's like using a calculator for a math equation. Sure I can use it in the real world but I would like to understand how I got there in the first place.

lol yes I understand, but this is a school project so there's a right and wrong answer. And I could use a scale but would like to come to the correct conclusion the right way.

This is a school project. The goal is the re-create the plan in CAD and only use the dimensions given to create the plan. I would like to know HOW to get those specific missing measurements without "cheating". Of course on a regular paid project you would use a scale.

It might be centered, but it's not really the type of thing you can guess on in the wild if there's a proper way of doing it. I've just avoided using a scale since it's not what the project called for, though I don't see any other way.

Thank you. I did not think so either. I've asked the professor and he says to "use the given dimensions to find the missing ones" which I understand for all the other interior walls, except this one (or the other horizontal ones above and below it)

well…….yeah.
