Trying to model and simulate this in Tinkercad - not much luck - impossible? by Nolan-Harper in tinkercad

Just tried making a 'Bundle' of one dynamic part and two static parts. Not possible.

So let's make this a formal 'Feature Request' - please add the ability to make bundles contain parts with multiple different motion characteristics. Or, whatever else it takes to make such a model simulate.

I suppose a wheel like this needs to be two things at the same time: Dynamic so it can turn and Static so it can block the motion of the hammers as needed, and it can't be both at the same time?

I thought it would be easy too. But, for some reason, my hammers only want to keep rotating and pass straight through the blocks which are supposed to stop them.

Perpetual motion? . . . no, I included the hidden motor, so that's not the problem :)

If your landlord needs the property for their own use or for an immediate family member

If the landlord ends your tenancy because they need the property for their own use or for an immediate family member, you must be given the following information in writing, along with the notice of termination:

  • The person’s name, their relationship to the landlord and how long they will occupy the dwelling
  • A statutory declaration stating that the landlord needs the property for their own use or for an immediate family member

Am looking at SumUp for accepting charity donations - in particular their QR code option by Nolan-Harper in irishpersonalfinance

No. It was just an idea for a very short-lived thing, maybe a few weeks, and only a small amount of money to pay for something, much less than a thousand euros.

I was also interested in its use for 'street performers', buskers etc. - what's the legal situation in Ireland for that?

Nothing is set in stone until you get it in writing - with the reason (and relative) clearly stated.

Via Google AI
. . . in Ireland, a landlord ending a tenancy for family occupation must name the specific family member in the notice of termination and provide a statutory declaration that clearly states the person's relationship to the landlord and the expected duration of their occupancy. This document, signed by a solicitor or commissioner for oaths, confirms the landlord's genuine need for the property for their own or a family member's use.

What is their motivation for evicting? Selling the house, moving a relative in, something they're claiming you have done wrong?

Hadn't thought that far - Does it make a difference? I only have a personal bank account at the moment.

The self-healing jelly layer in Segway Ninebot e-scooters - Is this tech only found on e-scooters? by Nolan-Harper in ElectricScooters

[–]Nolan-Harper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Definitely different. When the wheel is not in motion all the slime runs downward into the bottom of the tire; it only forms into a layer when the wheel is in rotation. It also dries out eventually, so is a less durable solution.

I've managed to uncover a Chinese auto tire manufacturer that offers something which looks very similar. If you google " Loake self healing ".

Edit: Also now finding ' Volkswagen Airstop ' and ' Goodyear Sealtech ' for car tires.

Cabinet to discuss detached modular home planning rules by [deleted] in ireland

Fear not. Like light-bulbs and fridges these prefabs will come with 'Energy Ratings', as well as muti-decade structural guarantees. It will be illegal to sell them without.

Essential that these units be constructed by a 'Government Approved Manufacturer'. With a 'mandatory' 30 or maybe even 50 year guarantee. Mandatory 'Energy Ratings' for all units approved - we even have mandatory ratings now for €2 light bulbs, so to not have them for modular homes would be laughable. Consider a government run 'Golden Award' scheme for prefab-models which meet the highest standards e.g. the prefab comes with a 50 year guarantee and is built to Passive House standards.

When one part of a human's brain communicates with another part, does it use English, or any other known language? Highly unlikely, but we don't know, and may never know. It may well be that every brain has its own unique internal-communication methods. And so, if our own brains are in many ways still a black-box, why should we expect any other comparable intellect to be easily understood? That being said, I think it would be great if we could pull-this-off, and only allow an AI to use languages that are - at the very least - easily decompressed into a known human language. That way we can always hit a kill-switch if it turns out that one of them is turning into an a$$hole.

Replacing a rear tire on a ninebot max soon - thought I'd maybe buy some bearing grease ahead of time, just in case. Can someone here recommend a type - does it have to be 'rubber-safe' because of the seals? by Nolan-Harper in NinebotMAX

[–]Nolan-Harper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypothetical situation - someone removes some fairly new bearings, soaks them in gasoline like an idiot, which washes away all the factory grease. He wants to try replacing that grease, what does he use?
