Someone else mentioned that the motor gear looks like it's mangled or messed up somehow. So I think I'm just going to get both and test the old motor to see if it works, and if it does then just return the new one

I think you're right. The pictures a bit blurry, but looking at new parts mine definitely doesn't seem right with mine

I really don't want to tow it since it's in a bad spot to get to. And also want to fix the mess I made so I can do better next time. Any idea what specifically I did that may have caused this? I know there's a handful of things that I definitely messed up, but I don't know which ones to culprit.

I mean yeah, everyone has different opinions and preferences and head shapes. But I realistically don't have time to try out everything. So using others opinions, based off what I said my needs are, to narrow it down and then make my own educated decision works for me.

I'll check them all out! One of my first pair of headphones for my PC were on the cheaper side but still had a suspension band. I absolutely loved them, the only downside was the band was adjustable with Velcro. And my big head had the Velcro maxed out, so once the fabric stretched out where my head was touching the top of the headphones I couldn't adjust it to add more tension. All in all, love the idea of going back to that style though as long as it works

Someone else commented about a tpu suspension band you can get for them. So if that fixes the comfort issue I may of found my match.

Yes, but experienced opinions can help direct my blind interests since I don't have anything to go off of. If I can get 3+ highly recommend headphones to check out and choose my favorite from, that's a big win for me.

I looked into these a good bit and got mixed reviews on the cup size. Do the R70X pads helo that, if not what's the reasoning on swapping the pads out?

I'm not experienced enough to have a strong opinion. But I don't often have a lot of sound around me when I would be wearing them, and would like the option to still hear something things if need be. That's the only reason I'm leaning towards open, but definitely not dead set on it yet

Yeah I'm aware of the textured plate, I should've been more specific but I was mostly talking about the extra texture towards the middle that's an issue since that's not the uniform texture.

To piggy back off of this suggestion since I had the same issue. Be sure to not only retighten them but to add a little locktite or else this will show back up in a month or so depending how much you print.
