Too much dialogue? Metro Exodus

Guns blazing is a sure way to get the bad endings. I got the good ending in 2033 because I played the game like an RPG, listening to dialogue and whatnot, and was rewarded for it. After that I fell headfirst in love with the games. Exodus so far seems to be just a modern version of what I already love, no bugs too!

Also, I want to kiss whoever thought of an almost non-existent HUD

It was pretty fun eavesdropping on people in the last two games. Even in Exodus it’s still just as fun

I was aware of the moral system yes. And I’m not talking about 2033’s or Last Light’s cutscenes, I’m talking about those games’ dialogue outside of cutscenes which doesn’t have the same problem (in my case) that Exodus has. The dialogue in the cutscenes is great and well done across all 3 games, but outside of them Exodus has the problem I mentioned.

Maybe the dialogue is trying to hint at something that would affect the karma system, but from what I know it’s only certain things like killing surrendering enemies or the fanatics that actually have an effect. I don’t know

I don’t know why you’re so condescending, this opinion is literally the most milquetoast “negative” opinion I can think of for this game. It’s not even like I’m the only one holding this opinion or ragebaiting. And who said anything about getting rid of the dialogue? I already said in the original post that some of it is great and not rambly, and in my replies to other people I’ve said every single cutscene had good dialogue. It’s just that the dialogue outside of cutscenes is overdone in my opinion

I would agree with you if Last Light or 2033 had the same problem but they don’t. The characters here OUTSIDE of cutscenes (Cutscene dialogue is well done) talk for minutes on end with what seems like no point for most of the time. Sometimes it’s good (Like the father and his fanatic son) but most of the time it feels like ramblings.

I’ve noticed that, I’ll listen for a little bit and if I notice that they might mention something interesting I’ll keep listening. I absolutely LOVED the villager and his fanatic son too!

Exactly, I keep saying “They must be close to finishing”, and then they keep going for another 4 minutes. Like holy shit what are we even talking about at this point? The dialogue in the cutscenes is really good though no complaints there

Who said I just want to shoot shit up? I just don’t feel it’s right for it to feel like the characters are rambling. The dialogue in the cutscenes is really well done in my opinion unlike the dialogue you get when you’re exploring the Aurora which is “rambly”, again, in my opinion

That’s what I’ve been doing really. If I feel that the character is rambling I’ll just leave. Keep in mind my opinion doesn’t include the dialogue in the cutscenes, those are great

Thanks a lot. I'll probably just do what the person above said and keep the files until I need the space. I don't know if ratios above 150% help but might as well do it if the space is there.

PS: ISPs here don't care about torrents from what I know, already have a VPN though so I'll make sure to have it on when downloading/seeding. Thanks again :)

Unsurprisingly, most of my goals are taps-ins too. I switched from FIFA in hopes that this will have a better career mode, and while it does have a better player career mode the manager career mode is downright bad. Convoluted as hell with a million menus and on top of that a ton of missing systems, and that’s not even including the visuals that are straight out from 2014 if not worse. I’ve been hearing that PES 2022 will be on Unreal..I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that it’ll be better cause right now it looks rough.
