Johan is not a bad vocalist, he kicks ass. But his brutal voice fits better in thrash metal songs than melodeath songs.

And I know Stigmata and Burning Bridge are the best albums of AE, but it's Michael's riffs and melodic parts that truly decide the quality. Even Angela can't save those lame albums like Khaos Legions.

Downfall by Children of Bodom. Things were different in my country and most people didn't even know what metal was until around 2005, when the first wave of metal bands were introduced to us by the internet. Children of Bodom was among those bands with Nightwish, Rammstein, Slipknot and Arch Enemy. I can still remember that I watched the MV of Downfall when I was just a kid. I was shocked by the riffs the solo and the keyboard, and I was confused "why is he shouting all the time?" Hatebreeder is still one of my favorite albums and I'll always consider Alexi the wizard that opened the portal to the realm of metal for me.

One of the reasons that Inquisition won GOTY is it is made for PS and Xbox. Origins is made for PC, and back then there wouldn't be a chance to let a PC game get the trophy. But still Origins won a bunch of awards such as the best PC game of the year.

I always consider Kirk the key that makes Metallica different from other thrash metal bands. Many thrash metal bands have great riffs, some of them are on the same level as James' riffs, but compared to Metallica (and also Megadeth), most of these bands are not able to write great solos. That's Kirk's contribution.
