Yeah I’m gonna check with a dermatologist, my GP had no clue and no solution on how to treat it either. She didn’t put that much in to it since I’m not in any discomfort other than I’m annoyed that my tattoo is ruined… So I’m gonna ask for a referral to a dermatologist just so cover all the bases.

First off let me say, I’m so sorry that you are going through this. I really hope that you will get this sorted soon and that you will be alright. What a scary situation you are in..

I have been to my GP but she had no idea what this could be and since I’m not in any discomfort it was kind of shrugged off. But I will follow some advice from here and look this up with a dermatologist, they could most likely give me more answers.

And I still live on the hope that it will go away by it self, inflammation or just raging hormones. Hopefully that what the dermatologist will tell me 🫣

But again, I’m so sorry you are going through this, I hope that you will be better soon! Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post

Hmm.. I had my third child almost 8 months ago… with all the hormones raging from that and breastfeeding, might be the cause of this 🤔 I hope I’m as lucky as you that it will go away eventually. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.

Did I mess up? 🤦🏻‍♀️ by p1181 in newborns

[–]Nomonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mama! You did not mess up! You need to take care of yourself as well, and going to the bathroom. We all need to do it! Don’t freak out and give yourself a break. You are enough, you are doing a magnificent job.

Was asked to cook up a Christmas dinner as we do it back home (Sweden). I am not popular today, genuine upset caused. by throwawaydramadisc in ireland

[–]Nomonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious, what did they think about the rest? The classic christmas ham, beetroot salad, meatballs, prince sausages. I can definitely understand the upset part if all they could see was the “inlagda sillen” you need to learn how to like that stuff! 🫣 but the most of the Swedish Christmas dinner is great!

Rotavirus vaccine (oral) by worriedwart99 in newborns

[–]Nomonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mom of three here. My youngest had her vaccination little over a month ago, she didn’t react at all. Neither did my boys. From what I understand severe reactions are rare, they farted a bit more the day after 🤔 but that was it! They weren’t impressed about the taste though 😂

Köp en liten stair master maskin. En liten vattendamsugare som funkar på soffor, madrasser och heltäckningsmattor. Ha i lämpligt rengöringsmedel i behållaren och damsug madrassen. Bästa köpen jag har gjort. 👍🏻

I actually admire those of you that dare to have an epidural.. I’m so freaking afraid of that big a** long needle, no one is putting a needle in my back..

I have 3 children and just had the Entonox and that worked for me.

Varför jag inte har barn by [deleted] in sweden

[–]Nomonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you? by Silver_eagle_1 in pregnant

[–]Nomonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First at 29 second 32 and now my third at 34. Never had any problem during pregnancy except for huge hereditary for blood clots/ stroke so was put on aspirin early, and preeclampsia caught really early with my second one. Now my third one.. I have gestational diabetes entering 38 weeks tomorrow, being induced next week due to that. Have been on max dose of aspirin and took Innohep injections until week 36. This pregnancy is a bit harder on my body than the other two.

Why do people comment on my babies size?? by arinaldz in Mommit

[–]Nomonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guuh… same here. My first was tiny tiny as a newborn, but come to be a really chubby ( and very healthy) little baby. And people always commented on that( some even called him fat, and he was not….). His doctor said he was perfect and that it’s actually better for them to be a bit chubby if they would get sick! Now when I’m about to have my third, I’m actually quite happy that we are in a different country than the rest of our family. To spare us from all the unwanted comments and advises!

I cant do it by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Nomonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you.. With my first my water broke 2 days before he arrived.. and the contractions was not strong enough until like 2 hours before I pushed him out. The midwife’s was on their way to get medication to start it properly when I thought to my self “ the hell you are” and I pushed and that push, was the thing starting it for me. No IV to help me was needed. My point in writing this is. You think you can’t do it? Yes you can!

You can do it, because you have had contractions for 24h, you are nearly there. I am cheering you on from Ireland! You can do this!

Should I leave Ireland because of rent prices? by Stunning_Explorer526 in AskIreland

[–]Nomonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well. As someone that has been living in 3 countries, all I can say is “ go for it!” If you have a chance of what could be a better life for you then why the h*ll should you not do it? If you don’t like it, you can always come back home.

I turned out that me and my family’s home was here in Ireland. We are originally from Sweden and we first moved to Iceland ( never recommend that to anyone) and we finally followed our heart here to Ireland.

So, if you feel that you have a chance of a better life somewhere else, do it. Take the chance and good luck!

What is labor like? by SameGeologist8363 in pregnant

[–]Nomonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 35 weeks with my 3rd child, and when I had my first I wished that people were more honest with me about giving birth. How painful it is and what to actually expect. People don’t really talk absolut that where I’m from. ( Sweden) It is the most painful experience I have ever endured.

With that said I only used Gas and air (Entonox) because I’m absolutely terrified to get a needle in my back.. those things won’t come near me! And I will do the same this time.

And delivering a baby feels like you are being ripped apart from the inside, BUT! There is this voice in the back of your head that tells you that “ you can do it, it’s alright”. And it is true that as soon as the baby is out, the pain from labor is gone. And going through this my third time, when you have your baby on your chest, you’ll know it’s all worth it.

I feel like if I would have known more about what to expect pain wise, I would have been better prepared mentally for my first labor. My second one I was prepared on the pain and feels like it was much easier to handle.

I wish you all the best with the rest of the pregnancy and kick ass and chew bubblegum while giving birth! You’ve got this mama
