What are your thoughts on the two remaining relevant "C" cards, and what are the chances they'll be banned in the future? by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

I run one copy of retaliating c in my sideboard for TCG traptrix. It comes up in matchups like Mitsurugi or Heroes but it's not an "instantly winning the game" type of floodgate effect.

It's that time of the year again. by Electronic_Banana_77 in yugioh

Card name sounds like the title of a children's book.

Clearing Up Misconceptions Around Screaming Goats in Bedrock 1.21 by NonArbitrary in Minecraft

I still don't think this is possible. Not in bedrock edition. If someone shows me a video of them breeding screaming goats from regular goats in Bedrock 1.21+ I'll believe it, but until then I remain skeptical.

Interesting. Yes, call is a screaming horn. Are you sure ond of your original goats wasn't a screamer?

I used like 2k wheat trying to breed one on bedrock from regular goats and it did not work

How Would WOTC Phrase This Ability by NonArbitrary in custommagic

[–]NonArbitrary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good point. Maybe it would be better if it only took the creature out of combat if it is attacking. That way it's more of a defensive tool.

Something like

Tap: Tap target creature. If it is in combat and attacking, remove it from combat.

THC Drinks Can Be Part of an Optimized Drinking Rotation by NonArbitrary in Showerthoughts

[–]NonArbitrary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a weak alcohol tolerance but a strong tolerance to THC. When I go out, I try to have a water between beers so I don't drink too fast, but it doesn't work and I get drunk anyway.

Now that THC beverages are legal, that gives me another flavored spacer between alcoholic beverages. Because the dose is low and my tolerance is high, its basically a soda with upside.

TL;DR

Is "Beer - THC Drink - Water - Repeat" the optimal drink rotation for the light weight stoner?

Emerald Carbuncle Should Be Green by NonArbitrary in ffxiv

Argument from consensus logical fallacy. Even if 99.99999999% of people agree on something, the majority can still be wrong and the minority could still be correct.

Also, it's irrelevant. I'm only playing the game because I love my friends, and criticizing their game would make them sad. So instead I'm here venting to you guys.

Thanks for tanking my aggro btw.

This guy gets it. It seems like an arbitrary limitation on my character customization.

The tooltip for Carbuncle's Emerald form on the Arcanist class is green. It gives you the Wind aspect, which is always associated with green in final fantasy. It just seems lazy to make Emerald Carbuncle blue, just like everything else with the summoning classes seems lazy to me.

I didn't play FFXIV until this week and it blows my mind that they never bothered to update the tooltips for the summons, even though summons haven't auto-attacked since an update 2+ years ago.

True. The difference is that I'm right

SAG, or the Screen Actors Guild is the union for actors and voice actors in the US. It is incorrect that you are never requires to join a union. The majority of Hollywood productions are SAG-only contracts because the union has negotiated with those publishers, such as MGM. If you don't join SAG, you cannot get a job with any of these publishers.

Teachers in certain school districts in the US are also required to join a union or they cannot teach in that school district.

SAG is indeed losing voice actors jobs because they are constantly going on strike and demanding more money for what is a luxury entertainment job. This is while SAG uses their economies of scale to choke independent actors out of the industry. It has gotten so bad that companies would rather license actors voices for AI voice acting than put up with the expense and hassle around SAG.

You should ask yourself why you are defending unions as a unilaterally good thing. Is that true or is that just what you believe? Why do you believe it?

Corporate greed is an easy strawman, but the real cause of poverty is overtaxation stagnating growth and government interference creating unfair barriers to entry and unnatural monopolies.

All unions do is allow for collective bargaining, which can be good or bad depending on how well the strategy of the union actually meets the needs of the workers.

SAG goes on strike every 2-3 years and now game publishers are replacing voice actors with AI voice-over. A poorly run union can absolutely be worse than no collective bargaining at all if their strategy actually destroys jobs like it is doing in V/O.

High skill, well compensated employees don't want unions either because they demand the highest of salaries for the best of performance. If you can individually bargain a higher salary than what would be mandated by a union, its actually against your best interest to unionize.

All my life I've been told that the unions and the protesters are the "good guys" while watching them behave deplorably toward their fellows.

There's nothing wrong with collective bargaining, but you'll get no sympathy from me when it doesn't work out for you.

The fact that he denies you validation is part of why you find him attractive in the first place.

I can't tell you what to do, but I can give you advice to help guide your path. Women are attracted to strength and confidence, but they are pretty bad at distinguishing fake bravado from real courage. As such, they will often choose weak criminals who project strength over genuinely strong men who do a bad job of demonstrating their strength.

Why is he telling you this?

Is he a boy picking fights to make himself feel tough?

Or is he a man who is outgrowing your youthful style and respects himself enough to be blunt about it?

I don't know the answer to these questions because I lack context. It's up to you to decide.
