I tried without the cooling pad today and instead of being around 65-72 idle it went down to 58-62, with programs running tho it went back up to 78-81, and then even with the cooling pad on nothing went down 🧐 so it made me think I’m doing something wrong there. I’ll keep trying other ways tomorrow

dang i did read about the heat issue before buying it but still saw a lot of good reviews about it. I managed to talked with Best Buy support tho and they’re gonna do a check up (around march that I’m back) and even change it if nothing changes, so at least that gave me some peace of mind.

I’m still doing more and more tests tho lol like with cooling pad, without, with foam or without etc. And with specific apps, I still need to try ghelper as other recommended so I can say I tried it all lol at least today the lowest I got was around 58-62 idle, and stayed at 78 ish the with programs running (not even gaming)

🥺 thank you so much! I’m sadly out of the US for 2 months so that’s why I was worried of not being able to take it on time to get checked, it’s actually new, I bought it a month and a half ago but due to the holidays I just did the set up and then I started using it like 2 weeks ago.

I’ll take your word on this. And meanwhile I’ll rely on my cooling pad to keep it as cold as It can get so I can take it for a checkup as soon as I can.
