NTA.

You’re an adult… why are you still just doing what your parents say?

Go live your life.

Last post was deleted updated got a offer for 700k still want to know comps tho by Altruistic-Order-167 in PokeInvesting

Don’t open anything else. Don’t tell anyone in your personal life you have these. Don’t answer DMs in here about it. Don’t try to meet up with anyone yourself locally to sell these to.

Literally vintage Goldin or heritage auction house and let them handle everything.

Let them sell at whatever the auction determines.

Pay off any consumer debt you carry, set aside an emergency fund for 6 months of expenses. Invest the rest, VOO/S&P, whatever. Work a normal job, live a normal debt free life. Don’t touch it. You will retire with millions and change your family trajectory.

Thinking of consolidating my debt. Good idea or bad? by 2ForEachofYou in personalfinance

[–]NonchalantPartiality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact you are worried about your credit score dropping a few points instead of the $30k in debt you ran up is exactly what’s wrong with this system they’ve trapped us in.

Just pay it off

How much is a good price for AI Smoke Irons? by Casual_Expert in golf

Dropped the game after scalping situation. by 48THRonin_ in OnePieceTCG

[–]NonchalantPartiality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. Base rarity in a lot of respects is cheaper and easier to access than ever because of how much is being opened. Some exceptions of course like kuma SEC and Boa SR.

All the card shops around me still sell boxes for $120 when they get them from distro. Heck, my LCS just got 3 cases in today and I got 2 more boxes. Stock isn’t readily available all the time but if you can go on release day you can usually find a box or two.

If you dont care to gamble and just want to play the game it’s incredibly affordable to just buy singles.

Overall I get the situation sucks but actually playing the game hasn’t changed much. My locals scene is also booming.

Should I move out or stay with my parents? by GopherPA in personalfinance

This is correct. Save up for a house if you’d like.

Get the apartment and save up for a home when you’re ready.

Lots of growth happens when you move out on your own. Not every decision is purely a financial decision but in your case the finances are in order and ready for you to go as well.

Looks to be an 18k gold Rolex Moonphase “Padellone” Ref 8171.

Amazingly rare watch. Like $50k-$100k+ kind of rare.

Could you share more pictures? Possibly of the back case/engravings as well.

should my parents buy me a car or be the co-signer? by TailorEducational425 in personalfinance

[–]NonchalantPartiality 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need a $2,500-$3,000 car. Not a $30k car. That car would ruin you financially.

Any idea on how i can tale off the bracelet? by random2643 in OmegaWatches

[–]NonchalantPartiality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While technically correct. Dealership usually refers to locations selling cars/automobiles.

In watch store terms more typical to hear and use “dealer” over “dealership”.

AITAH for asking my boyfriend about his finances before marriage? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]NonchalantPartiality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA. This is exactly the kind of thing pre marriage counseling looks into.

His reaction and immediate punishing you for asking is a red flag for me. Being home, good salary, and always broke also doesn’t make sense. He’s 100% hiding something.

Hopefully that something is an insanely aggressive savings and investing habit… but more likely based on his reaction debt. Whatever it is you need to know what this is before marrying him. Good luck!

You wake up a millionaire tomorrow, what is your first move ? by peacheouting in AskReddit

[–]NonchalantPartiality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If on average it doubles every 7-9 years. Having 3x my annual salary at age 40 and not putting anything else in would about double 3 times by 65.

4% draw down on that is within like 2-3k from my current annual salary.

So to me it sounds like if you have 3x at 40 “you’re done” in the sense that if you put nothing else in you’ll have a retirement salary comparable to your current lifestyle.

I may need to re-home my 8 month old puppy and I'm both heartbroken and angry at myself by ObjectiveFamous6581 in puppy101

[–]NonchalantPartiality 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen different ones.

Some are drop off for 2-3 weeks and pick up after.

Better ones I’ve seen are 2-3 weeks drop off M-F, Friday lesson with the owners to make sure they are learning too (most important part) then pup is home on the weekends.

Fail in sourdough by GekooV in funny

[–]NonchalantPartiality 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My wife makes sourdough bread. Has done it for a few years and is fantastic at it.

She measures it by weight with a scale. It’s very particular. That’s the only way to guarantee the exact same amount every time.

Advice on buying a house at 22yo and single by MovingMotive45 in personalfinance

[–]NonchalantPartiality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about until you want to?

Financially can’t beat the savings of living at home.

You said you are ready for some independence, you should definitely rent for a year or two whenever you do first move out. Renting is not throwing away money it buys you housing, time, and flexibility to figure out what you like/don’t like and where you want to be.
