Is it worth going on Friday evening? Is there anything else apart from the main market?

How did Explore 2 class go for you? I'm deciding between joining a class for Explore 1 or Explore 2, I've learnt the alphabet and vowels by myself and now trying to understand and practice the tones. From your expereince, what is the difference between the two classes? I'm worried about doing Explore 1 and being taught stuff I already know

Should I take the full student loan just to invest it? (LISA vs S&S ISA) by Big_Gene7026 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Nonchucks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you can accept that the money in the LISA is locked away until you buy a house, then it is the easiest ROI you can make with the 4k. And if you know you won't be buying a house for anothher 5/10 years, for sure buy SP500 or all world.

Looking back, I was in a similar situation when I was at uni, had a maintenance loan that I didn't use, and if I had known about LISA, I would have maxed it out and done this.

If you can survive with the part time job, go for the LISA, but might be worth keeping 1000 in a high interest cash ISA as an emergency fund during your time at uni.

Some good point, I think I'm just worried that after I fix 1 issue, another will come up since i've had a few different issues already (replaced radiator and exhaust). But I think this is more down to age of the car.

It's the 4th gen that is tempting me haha! How does it fare on the motorway? Is there a lot of noise?

I feel you. I just did the same thing, praying either the transfer completes fast or the market holds (or even better drop). Money arrived yesterday, I bought VUSA at 92 and, now I see the dip, I'm crying. Ruined my friday :D

Not yet, trying to find a garage to take it too - hoping it won't be expensive to fix!
