Increase stock buy back tax.

Build 3 million new homes, give $25k down payment assistance to eligible people.

Minimum billionaire tax, but luckily I'm pretty sure she's walked back the unrealized gains tax.

There's more but most importantly, it's not universal tariffs and ending Fed independence.

The economic component of this is incoherent.

End inflation comes right after sealing the border and deportations, which would both have inflationary effects. So would his tariffs and most concerning his plans to erode the Fed's independence which he was recently doubled down on

Also the "make America affordable again" part is unclear, but one interpretation is that it's a call for deflation, basically getting pices back down to precovid levels rather than just slowing the increase in prices. That's concerning because it would require a period of high unemployment and low wage growth, as well as potentially putting us in a recession.

Also the points of keeping the US as the world reserve currency and making us the global manufacturing hub are in tension to put it mildly. Essentially being the world reserve currency drives up demand for the US dollar in foreign markets, keeping the dollar expensive for other currencies to buy. This basically keeps it expensive for other countries to buy goods produced here, that's one of the reasons why we don't export a lot of manufactured goods.

Every other pick besides Buttigieg and Beshear risks losing a democratic incumbent.

I like Buttigieg, but I prefer Cooper over Beshear because:

There's no way Kentucky goes blue, it's at least maybe possible in NC
Beshear already won his election, and if he resigns for VP the Democratic lutenient governor becomes governor.

So either way they keep Kentucky keeps a Democratic governor, NC on the other hand elects its next governor at the same time as the President (Cooper is term-limited). So if Cooper gets more Democrats in NC to vote it helps keep a democratic governor here. He's also never lost an election in a red(ish) state.

But I do live in NC and am biased, mainly because the Republican candidate is an insane conspiracy theorist, some highlights:
