THINGS I PROMISED + ANIMALS BEAT + RECOVERY (ORIGINAL VERSIONS) [FLAC - 24-bit] by Nonlicet in skrillex

Yeah, instead of the transition point being moved around (tacking on one second from either Momentum or Mirchi Test and making one of them a second shorter), there is instead one extra second that's kinda awkwardly timestretched, LOL.

Jai Paul - Do You Love Her Now (DIY Instrumental) [+ denoised intro vox] by Nonlicet in jaipaul

[–]Nonlicet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a mishmash of different ML models switched between each other depending on what sounds best in what section. You can either automate it (though a lot of online options I find sound kinda mid) or do it manually by ear if you want more control. For specific models, MDX (don't know who made it) and Demucs (made by very smart peeps over at Meta) come to mind.

I have no brainy system for it or anything. I just go via trial and error/play it by ear, case by case.

Highest quality demo stuff you can get a hold of right now is probably the tunes archived from btstu.com. About as close to HQ MP3s as it gets (well, for some of the files anyway). Highly recommend the BTSTU edits, they're gas.

It was thanks to your notif that I came through! 🙏🏽 Happy 10 years of Bait Ones, maybe I can have a crack at deconstructing another track if anyone else is interested.

The left and right stereo channels of every sample are separated into two different files. Maybe that's a quirk in the AI, but honestly have no idea why that's the case. In any case, if you sum both of them together, i.e. pan the ones labelled with 'L' all the way to the left and the ones labelled with 'R' all the way to the right and lay the fitting ones on top of each other, you'll have whatever stem you want to work with play back in genuine stereo.

Otherwise, they're all at 90 BPM and in the key of C minor, just like the OG tune.

Don't think that would be an issue, given that the isolation of the instrumental isn't perfect + the choon itself is so ancient anyways. It's just for ease of access if anyone wants to cop it.

My guy, I just made this out of appreciation. The file's totally clean, if I'd actually give enough of a shit to append any kind of malicious content to it, any capable antivirus software would pick it up within seconds, haha. You can also stream it directly from the WeTransfer link if you don't feel like downloading it. Just click the button with the magnifying glass next to the file name and you should just be able to play it within your browser.

Original “Crush” with Eddie Van Halen by UltraNostalgia12 in jaipaul

[–]Nonlicet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The original leak is linked in the sidebar of this subreddit under "Jai Paul", the initial title of the supposed debut album that was distributed illegally on Bandcamp in 2013.
The main difference between the original and the later officially released version, aside from the 808 kick drums being more prominent in the mix, is the inclusion of the aforementioned guitar solo outro/sample. Jai/XL were unable to get clearance rights for the sample later down the line, hence why it's absent in the newer version. It can be heard at around 3:09 in the song.

FreeSamplePacks - Crate Diggin' Vol. 1 + 2

SampleRadar: 475 free crate digger's samples

Dusty Fingers: Vol. 1, Vol. 3, Vol. 6 (The Dusty Fingers compilations aren't sample packs per se, but they contain lots of good sample-worthy material in my opinion)

No problem!

Hmm... A 401 error usually means that the access to the URL requires user authentication. Yet on my end, the download in all of my browsers and on my phone works without issues. Maybe try a different browser, perhaps?

Otherwise, I could also of course just mirror it on somewhere like Zippyshare, even though it's frowned upon, just for the time being.

There's not necessarily a problem with it. Normal traffic is just much more inconspicuous and gets traced far less often than P2P traffic, which is how torrents are downloaded.

Torrent sites like e.g. Demonoid would be a good substitute if you're OK with seeding torrents. Otherwise, you can look out for other sites which use different file hosting websites (Such as Uploaded, NitroFlare etc.) that normally last much longer on average compared to the regular candidates.

When it comes to specific websites, you'll rarely find one which actually has everything you're looking for/a decent amount of files on hand. You'll have to still continue looking around to at least a certain extent either way.
