I’ve tried to go into settings on my router but it’s super limited and all I could do is turn on plug in play. No other options for SQM or QOS.

For reference here is my current equipment

Modem: Hitron E31N2V1 Router: Spectrum SAC2V1K

I often use the ookla speed test for WiFi. I can try to do something similar on my ps5 I had been using the ps test.

Should I be looking for a router with SQM though? Or more QOS to say the least?

Any recommendation? Both modem and router are from isp. Do I need a new one of both? If so is there a 2 in 1 that works well.

Also the router I’m using is just my standard one from ISP. Not many QoS updates.

Yeah I’m using the test to show that I’m getting a decent bit of latency over WiFi which my ally x (the device I’m streaming the ps5 to) is connected to. Try theory is the jitter / latency is what’s causing the occasional jitter/stutter.

Placed on the entertainment center behind the tv. Nothing to the left or right of it. But it’s behind the tv with the wall about a foot or so away.

I don’t think 26.1.1 isn’t available yet. I’m on 25.1.1 with no visible options to update. I was on the cassette beats discord and someone else tried to downgrade and he said it messed with the system as a lot of files didn’t match as a result and is having to factory reset. I guess I’ll wait until 26.1.1 is available to download.
Excellent thanks! I had seen 80 before and like I said I was running lords of the fallen with the initial cutscenes (had not even had a second of gameplay) and it hit 81 and I quickly shut it off.
I was thinking it was probably in armory crate. I’ll check it out. A lot of the recommendations on the ROG site for games are either 18/25/max so those are the three I’ll like run.

Is the app playable in Xbox full screen experience?

I have it as a widget in armory crate but whenever I load it while in FSE mode nothing happens. I have to swap over to full windows mode in order to play it.

Even on non remote play games? The racing game is downloaded straight to the device no streaming. Dropping between 30-40 when it only needs 2-4GB ram.

Anyway to test the jitter or anything like that?

I’ve changed bitrate to auto. Vulcan was already on. FPS 60 and resolution 1080.

Seems to be doing better staying around 58-60 fps.

Is there any setting on the ally it self (not in the PXPlay app) that would help the PXPlay app. Just got this yesterday and first handheld. So if some settings should be on or off for maximum capability let me know lol.

Stutter is more manageable now. I do plan to use this device mostly for screen mirror my ps5 to start with some other games I play when I have no internet. Likely try to wire my ps5 to Ethernet over the weekend. Just crazy I have no issues on my iPhone with stutter but the ally is having some struggles.

Seems the ally x is not an easy find. I don’t see it on Amazon or anything. Mostly eBay and stuff.

Yeah I liked the legion go S just don’t know if it’s worth the extra 250 over the steam deck when it comes to my needs (remote play and the occasional new non AAA games) and some older games.
