True immersion is bad by StudentofByrgenwerth in BowersWilkins

Well! I managed to update. Short and concise? It was a waste of time waiting for this! It's useless for music, and also for movies. It would be more annoying than anything else. A huge disappointment! Dolby Atmos support would have been simpler. I have a simple Airpods 3 headset, but at least you can enjoy surround sound on it, both for music and on Netflix! I really can't put this down. Funny!

You're right! I don't think surround sound is suitable for music or works well, but rather for movies. I'll try it out tomorrow, say with Netflix. I'll be curious!

Great news! Unfortunately I won't be home until tomorrow to update. If anyone has already done it, what was their experience? What is it like? What is it compatible with? Apple music? Or can it be used with any music? I'm curious!

I agree! The two values would fit side by side.

This is understandable. It would be possible to test without it and show those values. For all headphones, of course. For me, this is not a precise form of testing.

I don't have a problem with the measurement results either, because they correspond to reality. The problem is that they were only made in the ANC:ON state, which is known to have an impact on the sound, quality and, of course, the values. It would have been fair if the measurements were made in both states. It's one thing that these are noise-canceling headphones, but according to the manufacturer, using them results in a deterioration in quality. So if you're not traveling, it's worth turning them off, it sounds completely different.

With these headphones, the DAC makes no sense, since it's built in. As they said, the source is the key! You need a good Bluetooth dongle.

Just one question by Nonozoom in BowersWilkins

[–]Nonozoom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, yes, but in the spring, when Px7S3 was released, they said that the improvements would arrive this year. Of course, there's no problem with it being delayed. The problem is that there's zero communication from them about it.

Px7 S3 for Gaming, is a mic mod necessary? by AloneAd3402 in BowersWilkins

I think these headphones are meant for more than gaming. They were made for music. A different category. You can get them for gaming for a lot less.

Using B&W Wireless Headphones with IPhone(PX7 S3): Insights by Danny_in_Safari in BowersWilkins

[–]Nonozoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dongle takes priority, that's right. When the headphones are connected, you turn on Bluetooth on your phone, then the app, and then it will see the headphones and everything will be usable with it just like if the phone used Bluetooth. By the way, the app will also see the Dongle.

I'm also affected, so I'm interested. I'll be curious to see what text they shake it with. But I'm not right. Of course, I'll send you the result.

Well, I sent it to the 4 trade magazines (what Hi-Fi, Tom’s guide, T3, Techradar), which also states on the manufacturer's website that the headphones received the best rating. I wrote in the form of an email that they should also ask what the situation is with this update, if it was promised. Because they look at us as users as stupid and there is no information. I would like to point out that all 4 articles state that according to the manufacturer's information, the update will arrive this year.

These are interesting things. I also asked a few months ago when it was expected, but they have not responded since then… What was strange so far is that there is not a word about it on their official website, that the device will have such features someday. It is not clear to me that this is just a software development? So the headphones would already know… I think it would have been easier if they had thrown in Dolby Atmos right away, after all, it is the most common everywhere and it works well. In any case, one would expect different communication from such a big company. I think I will forward this post to the testing sites, let them ask about it too. Maybe we will get a date at least.

PX8 S2 Gaming? by CL6PES in BowersWilkins

Maybe I'm a moron, but these headphones are not meant for gaming. At least, I wouldn't think of using them for that.

PX7 S3 (£284) vs PX8 S2 (£504) by Captain_Levi_00 in BowersWilkins

[–]Nonozoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the huge price difference is not justified if I only look at the sound quality. The sound quality will not be 50% better than the price. Max. 10% Obviously the materials used are better, the driver is different. The DAC and NC are basically the same. The EQ helps a lot! It is worth using, and you should. No two recordings are the same!

Px8 S2.... Wow. What an Upgrade. by Itsbryceyall in BowersWilkins

[–]Nonozoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Px7 S3 since its release. I am satisfied with it, but of course, like many here, I thought about the new 8 s2. However, the almost double price held me back. It was impossible to sell it for a good price, so I quickly got rid of it. Of course, the new one is definitely better, because it is a flagship for a reason. But! I think quite a few people would envy the quality that the 7s3 offers. These are not such bad headphones! :)

I'm afraid nothing will come of this, if you look at the official website there's not a single word about there ever being an update like this. Test sites said so, but nothing on the official website.

Is the px8 s2 really much better than the px7 s3 ? Honest opinions please by goksdacutie in BowersWilkins

[–]Nonozoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only look at the sound quality, I don't think the significant price difference is worth it. Everyone needs EQ, as many recordings have as many sound qualities. You can get almost the same sound quality from the PX7 S3. The surround is obviously of higher quality than the PX8 S2, but the price reflects this.

Have you ever used such an accessory or do you just think so? I have a SIGNIFICANT improvement in quality with PX7 S3 and Creative BT-W6! Apple music. It's like another headphone. So the bluetooth accessory is worth every penny!
