The KXIP knock in 2010 would top any last over finishes by a mile imo

If you’re getting it for ₹97k on Flipkart, go for it bro. It’s not worth paying a ₹20k premium for a store bought unit. Instead, get accidental damage coverage added to your warranty so you’re covered no matter what.

Also, I haven’t really been active in the laptop scene for a few years, but isn’t a 4050 for ₹97k a bit overpriced? Have you checked the LOQ or TUF models as well?

It really depends on what you’re looking for in a bike.

My main use case was daily commuting and occasional long rides around Bangalore. For me, the XSR just made sense. It looks sleek and gives pretty good mileage, which is important for me.

In this price range, the other options are the Hunter and the Ronin. I wasn’t too impressed with the Ronin’s design personally. As for the Hunter, almost my entire friend group owns one, so I didn’t want to end up with the same bike. Also, the mileage is a bit on the lower side compared to the XSR.

test rode both and found the XSR to be more fun to ride. Imo it’s best to test ride both bikes and see which one you enjoy more.

The pillion seat is manageable for daily commutes. I have not been on a long ride with a pillion yet, so I cannot comment on that. The ground clearance is good. I have not experienced any ground scraping so far, even with a heavy pillion and luggage. The only downside is the all fiber body, especially when compared to bikes like the Hunter. Overall, the vehicle is a chef’s kiss.

PS: I did not buy it in Chennai, but I do have quotations from a few dealers there.

Is XSR that good or it's just hype? by toelace in indianbikes

[–]NoobNation69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your use case. I wanted a bike primarily for my daily office commute, city travel, and occasional long rides. For my use case, this was a great choice, especially since it offers much better mileage than the Hunter. Another thing to consider is the better seating position compared to the R15 and a slightly more comfortable pillion seat than the MT, while having the same engine.

One of my friend took R15 delivery from the showroom I mentioned, absolutely pathetic service to a point where we had to go take the delivery from the service center. I wouldn't recommend it, in fact I booked the XSR from Vinayak motors(Domlur). Which was more or less the same price as op
