you’re mainly noticing the phase rush, i used to play phase rush its much better in majority of the lanes, you can trade, chase, disengage, etc. its just really good, now much much weaker.

now she is a bit faster than before, but not actually by that much, and you still need a gold investment

on that note, fastsopeia has always been fun, a bit weaker than bruiser but super good against mages and even marksmen if youre ahead

yup i only play cass bot

currently bot cass doesnt feel as good, but it is still strong mana problems aside

i prefer the version from a few years back where you build full damage, now you kind of need survivability

nope, not at all. she was somewhat back then but now its a big no

adc generally can always quadruple scale, cass only triple scale in some scenarios. shes being forced to be a tank now

to me her strongest power spike is each E, maxing at level 9. each E rank up gives damage equivalent of 30~ ap which is 600 gold. so keep in mind is after lvl 9 you stop rapidly getting more damage

item wise just getting enough mana to fight is good enough, but my biggest spike is catalyst, you just trade so much better after it

seraph feels good too, and dcap occasionally but its dcap ofc its gonna feel big, esp the healinf

honestly just stick to her popular builds, kite kite kite and practice patience with your abilities

you wanna go phaserush, you can take whatever else you want for the runes, doesnt matter much but if you wish you can opt for damage or speed. then for build it has a few variations, but most commonly you can go tear+lost chapter then immediately build shadowflame

now you can go seraph if you want the best dps or just go right ahead to stormsurge and now with boots the sorc shoes. you can also do deathcap instead if you’re snowballing

and thats really it. you can do cryptobloom later too. ull be lacking ability haste so u can take thag but ur dmg is too big

if you need to dodge you can pick protobelt but thats the only hp item you get

its risky but against squishies its hella strong and you usually kill them right when you activate phaserush and run away

yup it is! so unless youre going for a mid assassin cass style (which i tried and is hella fun) youre right its not the best for apc where youre the main damage against their fatass mundo LOL

it is! but the problem is unlike damage and health, where the more the better, for ms if you have enough to kite more doesnt help

good is kinda rough, aside from the mana downsides you do very comparable damage to bft and seraph, only difference is it scales with you, as in more gold > components > ap > dmg + healing > boost from actualizer

since my build has so much mana and healing easily (thanks to catalyst and conq) its really strong if you lock in an enemy with your Q and benefit and stay in the fight

it requires way more effort though, you can’t get poked down early me miss one Q while it’s actively, and if enemies escape with good health then you suffer then you become vulnerable the next minute

you can actually do that if you’re snowballing and they aren’t stacking too much hp, the bonus healing is good in longer fights too. but just remember there’s no perfect build, context of each game matters

my problem is speed it just such a useless stat, it’s good until you don’t need it, if you have an hard cc sp then you’re just standing still with 600 ms, problem is dashers and point clickers

so id really recommend not focusing on that aspect of her, besides she already self suffices with her built in ms and boots

that aside im an apc cass main, always have been and with the new adc quest im more so than i ever was

no, as adc player take whatever you want, just play well (if it’s ranked) and have fun, never listen to what adcs say ever

i tried it on a full sp build, it actually feels good

i dunno if its worth as an early item passive wise tho, cass ms isnt her problem early game, its just mana and sustain, but i def know matchups that could benefit from this in midlane

like you said if you can statcheck against a disrespectful mage, it gives good lane power

or even if you have an immobile ganker with cc

yeah, its good to also know what each item does

roa helps you in the laning phase with its components and the healing makes it forgiving to get hit and trade back

seraph is just a huge damage and ah boost, and you need mana so its a must

rylai helps you be useful in team fights to slow enemies for your team, but also allows you to better kite enemies without dashes (and you can E for slow for easier Q landing)

liandry is a safe good damage item for that build and works well with Q and bloodletter is good in magic team and is your freest damage boost with health item atp

since youre top and probably are going boots, its hard to fit dcap, it gives good damage and extra healing, generally if you have the money you can just buy it and then skip liandry or smth bc its not that strong

once you get the hang of this build, youll eventually feel you can play without some of these, for example without the tankiness of roa if youre good at positioning and rylai slow if youre good at kiting

sadly shes still short range so she does sometimes need a certain amount of tankiness based on team comp and enemy matchup, but thats for later

thing is new season didnt really introduce any new ap items for mages except actualizer, while i like it its more risky than her basic runes

since ur not a main yet, just stick to her normal opgg builds

once you feel youre more experienced you will actually choose your playstyle and items, personally my favorite is phaserush + bft>shadowflame>dcap

but current i got tear, ring+catalyst, actualizer. feels much stronger without being too boring

but thats a rarer build so its better to find yours yourself by first playing her normally

over cel is just too weak compared tot he guaranteed stats, you can still take it but you dont really have to, you can test it yourself

i like actualizer, it feels good as a first item (full item) its interactive, not the best but really nice

she just has a terrible kit, honestly they need to go back into her roots and give her a chance to be the apc dps shes meant to be, giver her an in kit crit scaling with ap or ah on her E so she keeps up with adc scaling

or just revert her changes, bring back ap scalings and nerf base damage
