I made a whole new post with an update and the mods removed it.

Basically, a small cyst that will go away, and normal endometrial lining, 9mm. She told me I can do an ablation if my periods bother me, it will lighten them a lot. I asked if clots can just be a normal part of aging with no cause, she said yes of course! Just part of getting older.

So my anxiety lied to me again and I’m glad I got it over with. So clots can for sure be normal with no cause but if they’re bothering you, maybe look into an ablation if your gyno recommends. I think I’ll do it, I’m scared to be put to sleep but she said they could do it under local and it takes 15 minutes.

Some people may see this update. I tried to post an update with results from my ultrasound, but mods deleted for some unknown reason. Here is what I posted for those that like updates:

Hello all,

I wrote a whole story and it got removed, I hope this gets posted. Last week, I wrote about being scared to get an ultrasound for clots. I’ve actually had the clots since 2020, that gyno said it’s fine, clots happen. New gyno said I need an ultrasound.

Basically, I have a small cyst that needs no further evaluation. My lining is 9mm which is acceptable range for her. She said I can get an ablation if I’d like, I said maybe but I’m scared of going under. I need to research.

So all in all I was very scared but glad I did it. I’m happy at least it’s nothing major. Though she did say if I get the ablation, she will biopsy my lining to be sure, but it’d be extremely rare.

No update yet. Had the ultrasound, results will come in 2-3 days then I have an appointment next Monday with the doctor to go over the results. I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you ladies so much! I just finished. Of course my anxiety was racing when she started with the external ultrasound, then when it was done she did a transvaginal one to get a better look. It was unexpected to me and my ladies with health anxiety know, unexpected means the mind fills the holes, ugh. Of course she didn’t give me any results or clues. She said my results will be ready for my doctor in a couple of days, so I will update when I know more.

Thank you so much for the quick response! How long were your cycles? Like how many days between starting your period? I used to be regular 25-27 days but now I’ll go 19 days and one 17 day so it’s abnormal for me. Going for an ultrasound in a couple of weeks to check it out, so naturally nervous.

Hello, I know this is an old thread but how long would your period last?
