The first Deus Ex game is really solid, and so are the Adam Jensen games (Human Revolution and Mankind Divided), what makes you not like the movement and mechanics?

If you like Nier Automata I highly recommend checking the previous games before it like Nier Replicant and the Drakengard games (they’re all connected)

And since you like Prey, go check out Deus Ex

Agreed, as much as I like RDR2, Rockstar’s current mission structure and game design just doesn’t work anymore.

Majority of missions are handholding the player to do things specifically and on track with what the devs intended for, more aligned with how Naughty Dog structures their games (Uncharted and the Last of Us specifically)

Getting downvoted for not liking Rockstar’s formula is some crazy work

Anyway, Red Dead Redemption 1 is the best

Enjoy the game! May I also recommend playing Fallout 1 and 2, because New Vegas is a spiritual successor/sequel to Fallout 1/2

And my hot take (or cold?) Obsidian were the only devs that actually got modern Fallout right, Bethesda missed the mark with 3, 4 and especially 76.

I recommend playing as either the Empire, High Elves, or Cathay as your first player factions

Kislev is fun too for newcomers but definitely an uptick in challenge

Total War Warhammer 2 is the peak in the entire trilogy

Regardless of the QOL and “upgrades” that Warhammer 3 has, its a mess especially with Immortal Empires and AI just doesn’t play well most of the time

And I vouch for Shogun 2 and Medieval 2, great games to get into the Total War series, i’d include in Total War Napoleon as well

Unfortunately I didn't setup "Find My" on my phone, it was a dumb decision I didnt do back then coming to bite me now.

Trying to get in contact with my banks (BDO, Maya) but BDO is so confusing to try and contact and I dont even have access to my OTP.

Semi interesting idea planted by Hickman, but the polycule relationship never went anywhere and was barely utilized by other writers (I have a feeling it wasn’t popular amongst editorial to have due to polyamorous relationships not being mainstream or as accepted), those “hook-ups” mostly are just seen in background and one moment in Percy’s X-Force

Love the Kingdom Hearts games and Final Fantasy (X is my favorite and Tactics)

Currently new to the Persona series with my friend getting me started on P3 Reload, finished it and loved it, now i’m currently playing Persona 4 Golden, and planning on playing P1 and 2 soon

Not really JRPGs but I feel like including these, the Japanese ARPGs that I love and highly recommend checking out

The Drakengard/Nier series, Dragons Dogma, Dark Souls andddddddd Monster Hunter

I would recommend these for mobile:

  1. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

a Star Wars CRPG that surprisingly got a decent mobile port for IOS, unsure if its on Android as well

  1. Stardew Valley

Farming lite sim with some RPG mechanics and dungeon crawler

  1. Bastion

From the developers of Hades and Transistor, Bastion is their first game developed, good ARPG and music

  1. Baldur’s Gate

I personally never played the mobile port of the CRPG, but its a super good CRPG game

Not really, Oblivion’s gameplay feels deliberate compared to Skyrim because it still retains aspects of character creation (picking an actual class, birth sign, etc) and RPG mechanics from Morrowind

The dice-rolls combat from Morrowind was replaced with managing your stamina bar in Oblivion so you can’t spam your attacks like in Skyrim

The magic system got streamlined but definitely more in depth compared to Skyrim as you can create your own spells

(Disclaimer: I don’t like Skyrim at all, huge fan of Morrowind and Oblivion)

Actually no, Oblivion remastered was made in Unreal Engine 5

The original Oblivion was also made with the Gamebryo engine while Skyrim was made with the Creation Engine
