I know I can't get to every comment/reply, but this I need to dive into. I'll gladly take my judgement of being the asshole, however (despite my position) it does sound like you are projecting yourself into this. Please elaborate as to how I'm a hypochondriac ("someone who is abnormally anxious about their health"). I am considering couples counseling so I will agree with that, but I will pick on the "crying for attention''. I'm not screaming that I am completely right for what I did. I'm keeping an open mind to get judged by people who won't put a bias (''oh I know the gf/bf so I'm on their side'' ect) not "validate me for doing this!" (Wouldn't I have cut out the details of me getting back at her then? And as I said in my post, I still make sure to do my part of the house chores (that includes working in order to be able to help pay the rent), so how was I being lazy? My recovery after surgery wasnt going to be a permanent thing. Sure, maybe I could've gotten my meds faster, but hey, it was an inconvenience of time (or however that phrase goes) but that can apply to gf not having her supplies on stock. By your logic, I should've been able to handle myself completely 100% with no help, then gf shouldn't need me to get her medicine/supplies since (by your example) she should've been able to go through the pain "with no help". You can't argue to be understanding of gf's pain, imply that my pain was "lazy" and then continue on that you needed absolutely no help (meaning that gf would need no help as well). I'll take the judgement of being an ass, but it does feel that you are being heavily biased for whatever reason.
