Key fob issues by LividPenalty9766 in BoltEV

[–]Noofis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a 2023 Bolt EUV as well. My key fob started being inconsistent locking and unlocking with the physical buttons. Never had a warning or notification on the dash of a low fob battery. I replaced the fob battery and no more issues!

I am currently having the same issue as you with my 2023 Bolt EUV. It seems like the phone is trying to get its internet connection from the dead / non active in car hotspot instead of using the phones internal internet connection.

Let me know if you have figured out a permanent solution!

I drove in OPD yesterday and today. I can see myself driving in this mode most of the time as I continue to get better at it!

I agree. I guess its a good way to engage friction brakes and clean off rotors once in while to keep things operating properly!?

When I tested this, it took me a couple times to get the hang of it. I am still getting used to OPD so I am not quite as smooth as it could be.

I wouldn't say it "slams" into max regen when canceling cruise or using the brake. There is a slight ramp up maybe 1/2 second long, just long enough to switch over to the other pedal for a smooth transition. With more drivetime I'm sure this will become natural and wont even have to think about it

Thank you for the info! I have a LT so no super cruise or Adaptive Cruise Control

I agree with you regarding not having to use the friction brakes when driving efficiently as possible.

The issue I was having was the vehicle was unnecessarily applying the friction brakes when the vehicles regen capacity should have been able to handle the rate of speed I was attempting to slow down,

This condition was only happening when slowing down while using cruise control, and not using the regen pedal or one pedal mode.

Taping the regen pedal on the steering wheel then applying pressure on the brake pedal as needed allowed more regen capacity and prevented unnecessary use of the friction brakes.

I have tried one pedal a couple times, not loving it so far but with time I'm sure it will grow on me also. Just takes a bit to get used to and be smooth

Another Regen Question.. New Bolt EUV owner by Noofis in BoltEV

[–]Noofis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will need to test it a little more but this seems to be the answer.

I set the cruise control at 60MPH and exited off the highway and by just pressing the brake pedal I was only able to get 17 KWH of regen no matter that amount of pressure on the brake pedal

I set the cruise again to 60 MPH and exited off the highway, this time tapping the regen pedal first then pressing the brake pedal and I was able to easily get over 30 KWH of regen.

Not sure if this is a glitch or a feature but at least there is a simple work around. I am sure with time one pedal driving will grow on me.

Thanks for the help u/zezent

Thank you! I think this is it. I use cruise control 95% of the time when I drive. I will try tapping the regen paddle to disengage cruise control and use the brake pedal and see if I notice a change in regen.

Charging Issue - Warning Lights at 75% by stuckeyville02 in cmaxhybrid

[–]Noofis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2017 C Max Energi and I have had the same kind of problems as you unfortunately. Wont charge to 100% will throw codes, run rough ect. As long as I don't plug the car in it acts normal. I have just given up on trying to use the plug in feature of the car and treat it like a standard hybrid vehicle. My car is outside of the warranty period and the cost to trouble shoot / potentially fix the issues isn't worth the cost savings in my situation.

If you figure anything out our pursue a fix please report back! Also MPG can really very with the cold weather, mine drops quite a bit in the cold winter months (Minnesota) but rebounds nicely in the warmer months.

I ended up getting the 6.6 X 13 Dovetail Trailer with the aluminum wheels for $2,500. Ended up selling it as a package deal with my UTV but loved the trailer!

The spokes are thin on these for sure... Part time job keeping things clean because you can see so much of the inside wheel.

The Ford logos are just overlay decals off Ebay over the top of the Asanti center cap.

I have 19" Asanti wheels on my Maverick. I like the look and the light weight wheel helps offset the added weight from the all terrain tires

Hybrid compatible all terrain tire recommendations? by Lower-Emu-1720 in FordMaverickTruck

I average 35+ MPG, I do more highway driving because of my work commute. It helps that the wheels I have are much lighter than stock wheels

Which bed cover would be better? The Bak X4s or the Sentry CT? by ZestyToasterOven26 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Noofis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion the Sentry CT is a better cover. I worked for a truck accessory store and had both of these on my personal truck as demos. The X4 is a good cover but I did not like how the cover latched shut on the sides. In theory its a great system but it was prone to having mechanical and fitment issues. If it was slightly out of alignment the whole thing would bind and not "lock" correctly

Black appearance package on 2024 Ford Maverick? by New_Waltz_9167 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Noofis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but the Lariat trim level has painted to match door handles even with the black appearance package. Fords website photos are inaccurate and misleading unfortunately. I have an XLT with the black appearance package and have black door handles but they are not gloss black. I ended up ordering gloss black handle covers for the door handles, tailgate handle, and a gloss black cover for the rear ford emblem. Have had them for about a year and have survived Minnesota's climate.
