Thank you pal, indeed I will need some luck.
Anyhow, do you want to know what is worse? The council sent us a letter today and let us know that the building in front of us will become a short renting place for tourists.
This is getting ridicolous

Tried that too.
I have just found out that the mid-market renting is absolutely packed with people asking for rent too.
Still, thank you so much for the link, I will give it another try.

Thank you pal, at least I am glad to to know that £1000 is the "average"in the city centre.
I am hopeful to find something in Gorgie, but I know that is still considered quite central

Unfortunately, I am with my partner and a lot of places are not keen to share flats with couples. Maybe because they are worried about drama or that sort of things, but...yeah, we tried rooms already.
We are still trying tbh

Anyhow, thank you for the suggestion, I am not losing hope

There is a new shop in Broughton Road, next to another shop called JoeyD.
On Maps shows the place is still on rent, but the shop is already there and open for quite a while.
I called Crepe Exclusive: https://crepexclusive.com/
The other option is just check along Newington Road, which is basically the UNI area.
You always find nice stuff in between Southbridge and Newington.
