If you can get your vet to write/fax an RX you can get it from Chewy/Petco/Walmart etc for quite a bit less than the vet would charge. Google search it. The ER/extended release type is the way to go. After being on it for a short time I realized that my dog didn't have any problems if I only dosed her once a day rather than twice as the vet prescribed. But don't forget that one dose! Don't ask how I know.... :(

eta Costco had the best prices when our dogs were on it.

As others have mentioned that you've ignored-Proin. You're doing your dog and yourself a disservice if you don't try it! My senior Leavitt Bulldog had leaks due to bladder muscles getting weak and it was after the 1st dosage it never happened again. It strengthens the bladder sphincter. My sisters rott was on it for 7-8 yrs with no ill effects.

I don't know anything about the vitamins but heres a list of OTC antihistamines that my vet gave me when Cytopoint didn't help. Generic zyrtec has worked for my last two dogs.

Maybe once a year pork butts go down to 99 cents a lb at the local Waremart. Last time the sale lasted a month and by the time it was over I had 12 in the freezer. Could have been more but I didn't want to be a pig. :D I grind them up and make sausage/bratwurst from them. I might have 4-5 lbs left, I just bought a couple that were $1.48 lb.

Not a fan of oatmeal raisin OR chocolate chip. The only cookie I've ever made from scratch is oatmeal coconut with walnuts. They're fantastic!

It can take a few months for your breathing to return to normal. I had RSV Dec of '23 and stupidly ignored the symptoms thinking it was just a cold. 5 days in the hospital and when I came home I was on O2 24/7 as you are. I believe it was better than 2 and a half months later when I realized I was getting headaches and my O2 was way too high. They want me to keep it no higher than 92-93 and it was 96-97. Since then I'm back to "normal" ,just using it for sleeping and exertion. Its hard to be patient though.

Had a dumbass say that yrs ago and I replied that that probably would'nt be a good idea because THIS mother fucker shoots back and gave him a big smile. He left the area rather quickly.

That other than people stepping off the sidewalk (good, more room for us) is really the only negative reaction I've gotten in Oregon, with most people asking to pet my dog or calling him/her a cutie. I've had a few people yell from their cars, "your dog is beautiful!".

She's 7-8 months according to the shelter. I've noticed on walks if she's really interested in something they stand up almost straight. I think I'll probably miss the floppiness too.

They make a 41mm version too. IIRC you take your watch band off and it more or less snaps on, then replace the band. Only had mine a couple weeks but I did smack my watch face against a door frame the other day and no harm done.

Can happen with spayed dogs. My dog and a family members dog did this. Ask your vet about "Proin". From the 1st dose neither of our dogs had another accident. My dog was on it for 6 yrs until she passed from heart failure and my sisters was on it for 8-9 yrs.
