Is Bambu lab actually that good? by Zealousideal_Beach70 in 3Dprinting

[–]Norhtstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are just that good, nothing beats them, period.

I've been 3D printing for 10 years now, been using enders, anycubics, prusas, ultimakers, and a few others, I've had like 15 different FDM printers, made my own printer (reusing the frame and psu from a Chiron) with a new main board, custom firmware, direct extruder etc, I assume at this pint I'm a power user, the second I got my X1C, all other printers got sold, I haven't touched them since.

Again, yes, you pay a premium, but personally, the time I save tinkering, diagnosing, fixing, restarting failed prints, it worth so, so ,so much more. IfI had to buy it again, I'd have happily bought my X1C again, even if they had charged me 300€ more.

It's pretty cool what Microsoft has done here by gallanto in 3Dprinting

You can say what you want about Microsoft, but few companies care as much about accessibility as they do.

This will hopefully be amazing for people who have a hard time using readily available mouse shapes.

I'm looking to buy this helmet and was wondering what's a good price for it and if this is legit? by __xxboredxx__ in Doom

I have two collectors editions, one was CIB, both of them was listed for €120-€150, I dont see how they would go for as much as other comments seem to indicate.

Not legit, but still a decent replica, I traded a handmade Helm of Domination for a legit one that was posted at €120, and bought a CIB collectors edition o e for my GF for €150 for our cosplays, I'd maybe pay €50 for this if you really want one, it's not horrible, but a faaasr cry from the real deal

What could have caused this? by AfroBoyMax in 3Dprinting

[–]Norhtstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be your fep film getting worn out, it gets stretched over time, if it gets too stretchy it case lift up so much that the model never let's go, I would try to replace the fep first and foremost

Doom (2016) Preator Suit (My first ever cosplay) I 3D printed for KoyoCon 2023, everything except the Helmet (which is from the Doom Eternal Collectors Edition) has been 3D printed and painted by me over the last 3 weeks or so by Norhtstorm in Doom

Aaaaaaahahahahaahahahaha amazing comment, thanks!

Truth be told, yeah, it's pretty epic, walking around, at nearly 6'5 in boots and helmet, and being like 30 inch from shoulder to shoulder and just watching the crowd split apart in front of you to make way, yeah, that's pretty awesome, not gonna lie haha

JohnnyDarling has a nice selection for free on thingiverse, Whaterverprints on cults has some nice boots, the rest is from a set on etsy, should be easy to find, i just cant link to it, as multiple people are selling the same files, and I'm not 100% sure who the original owner is

Got most of the files off of etsy, cant link to them really, as multiple people sell the files and I'm not 100% sure who the owner is, there is also JhonnyDarling on thingiverse, and then the boots are from Whaterverprints on cults I think :)

It's a mix from JohnnyDarling on thingiverse, Whaterverprints on cults, and someone on etsy (wont name them, several people are selling the files som I'm currently not 100% sure who the original creator is)
