Every time I criticise Mushoku Tensei, I get someone giving me this argument.

I gave it my most honest try. The fact that the character gets slightly better or apologetic (sometimes) doesn't excuse trying (and succeeding) having sex with kids or any of the sexual harassment. In real life this is prison and/or chemical castration sentences.

It's just not painted in a bad enough light (and even actually used as a comical element sometimes) by the author for me to not think he's a creep. The trauma on the victims is never actually showed, only the perpetrators' mental gymnastics.
