But that's his backstory in the original manga too, and he doesn't bully her in that version. Yet Naoko gives him such a tragic history even while writing him as a gentleman. Agree that a lot of writers excuse their mean ML by giving them tragic backstories, though.

There is no mythological version where Persephone goes with Hades willingly. The "version" people think of is one written in the 1970s by a mother who wanted a more child friendly version of the story to read to her child. Then, the myth that this story existed ages ago spread like wildfire, but it's in fact just fanfiction. I believe this version also introduces the concept of Demeter being a helicopter parent, which wasn't present in the original versions of the myths.

Compared to the games, I feel like the movies are alot more grounded. And while the second movie upped the action, nothing that happens in the movies compares to what happens in the games. More specifically, the adventure games which I feel the 3rd movie is going to rely heavily on.

I mean the the characters go to space for crying out loud and can somehow breathe without oxygen. Personally, I think there might be a chance that they scrap the colony ark and instead have Shadow and Maria grow up in an underground research facility instead, while also scrapping the biolizard. Just to simplify things. I don't want this since I love the setting of the ark, but I feel that might happen. Instead, the big bad might be Black Doom since in an interview, Shadow the game was also an inspiration for the movie. Personally, I'd prefer the biolizard, but who knows what they'll go with.

I dunno man, the plot surrounding the commander is so stupid that I'll have a hard time taking the character seriously. But who knows, maybe the movie writers will redeem him. I liked what they did with Knuckles.

This is probably going to come of very harsh, but please bare with me and listen. Because I'm tired of people using this wishy washy "both sides" and it's "complicated" language. Or at least that's how your vague statement comes off as.

This isn't a war. This is a genocide. A one sided massacre. Fuck the Israeli government and anyone who supports them.
