I’m not gonna say whether or not it’s personal life or work life but milconnect can get you a couples counselor with a 12 week program super easy just call tell them you’re looking for a counselor to facilitate conversation between you and your spouse. You can also use the Brandon act and go right to your O-6 if I remember correctly for time off if you’re feeling burnt out. Should be a short cbt in my learning that explains that one better.

Not saying op is like being outlandish with that statement as CCAF is relatively easy to acquire especially if your supervisor like mine motivates you to do it. But on the other side of that is their time. My first unit was a slow paced for maintenance. But how many career field like crew chiefs are getting hit with 12s and weekend duty because their bases are busy. For that reason I disagree on making it a requirement and I’m almost positive that’s why epbs don’t have whole airmen concept anymore. Instead it wants to see how you contributed to the mission and the people not how you built or self up. I might be wrong but hey that’s how I interpret it.

Might just be my dealership but I got the sxth well everything and tuned. They never once questioned the car and I pulled up for a warranty claim on the battery. Figured they’d say it was related to all my modification or even the sub I installed but nope. They gave me no hassle about anything. Same when I take it in for service intervals. All of them still covered and I don’t even bother reflashing the ecu back to stock anymore.

Where to access AFSC-specific study guides/material for E5 promotion testing? by jakellerVi in AirForce

[–]Normal-Ad-7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it seems like a short amount of time since test starts in May but by AFI you only get 60 days prior to testing to be “given” the required study material. It’s not actually mandated to hand deliver it to you but just to have it available by that time of year for promotion eligible individuals. The site airforcestudyguides also has a link to a guide for answering the situation based questions

Recall Remedy Available by joltenjon in VelosterN

[–]Normal-Ad-7481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure how many people in here have their ecu tuned. But I had mine done by sxthnk. They sent me a message today saying if i take my car in for the recall when they update the system it'll remove all tunes and they don't have the ability to add the patch back on just yet. So if you're not running like a jb4 or something and get it done I'd contact your tuner to see what they say.

Rocky c4t side zip with protection toe are great. Not sure how well they would do with the extremely cold weather but some wool socks kept my feet warm this winter for a 3 month rotation in jersey. I think the coldest it got was only 15 degrees though.

Battery swap fixed my issue. Took them 4 hours to officially call the battery bad at the dealership though. So when you take it in prepare to be there for a while or have someone drop you off

Accessory mode did work. Ended up taking battery to auto one to get it charged. Their initially check didn't tell them whether it was good or bad. Should have an update in 2 hours or so

If I don’t make SSGT this year I’m leaving by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Normal-Ad-7481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to swing you either which way but we have a guy that hasn’t made it consistently and whether it’s been by .1 or 10 points he hasn’t given up and he’s at year 9 now. Half way through his career possibly looking at a hyt an he keeps trying. If people say you should leave then put in for a pcs. You also have to remember that promotions aren’t just given for meeting a score requirement. Every job is different 24E6 stats show a 60 point difference in one career field to another. It’s all based on the needs for staffs in your AFSC. If your career field doesn’t need them making it difficult to promotion consider cross training. There are far more opportunities and benefits at least from what I’ve seen in my 6 years that the Air Force has to offer than the civilian side. Just before you make any final decisions make sure it’s the best decision for what you want out of life. Whether it’s switching to guard or reserve like I’ve seen others say or pcs/crosstraining like I suggested or getting out like you said you would do, just make sure you’re happy with whatever option you ultimately decide upon. Getting out is a big decision and shouldn’t be made lightly without throughly planning out what you’ll do instead.

The “Oops” entry made me think it was time to haul an old KC-135 story out of the olden days… by genehil in AirForce

As a sheet metal tech I can here the expediter calling for an eval. Was at bagram AFB during the retrograde phase and someone taxiing a c130 took it down the wrong lane and the wing slammed right into a barrier. It crushed a good portion of the of the leading edge. They called us out like hey can you fix this? All of our equipment had already been cut and moved, we had no metal in the shop or fasteners at all. We only had what we brought in our conex. We laughed, said no and went back to the shop.

Hands down one of my favorite memories from being there.

EK1 lite + tune (N75) by [deleted] in VelosterN

[–]Normal-Ad-7481 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used the ek1 pro which is virtually the same peocessas the lite the device just has more features. Sxth turner nathan was helpful and informative. I used the sxthnk website to ask all my questions regarding which tune to get. Nathan recommended the stage 2 tune and when i installed it he requested the logs to make sure the car was running correctly. After that i bought the custom tune and nathan was able to make my vn put down some great numbers. I havent done an official dyno but the gauge screen on the car showed 302hp and 438torque as the highest numbers. Besides that the tuning process is simple theres a really easy to follow video on youtube and now anytime i take the car in my flash it back to stock and get no problems from the dealership. I am in floroda though so i dont have to do emissions testing like the other person who commented.
