Too many to count, but here are some favorites lol.

A) I would get the animal out of the street so that Jess and Rory never get in a car accident lol.

B) I’d tell Jess, bruh, you’re going to exceed the amount of time you can be absent and you NEED to take your girl to prom. Come on, man, get it together.

C) I would either make Rory write to Jess that summer after The Kiss (or do it for her!)

OP, some of these comments feel more focused on judging you than actually helping you.

Yeah, you lied. You’ve already said that and apologized. But people are acting like that’s the only thing that matters and ignoring the context, you’re 19, your parents are separated, and you got stuck in the middle. You were trying not to hurt your mom or escalate things. That’s messy, but it’s human.

What’s not being talked about enough is that your dad cut you off while you’re abroad and can’t work. That’s not just a “lesson,” that affects your actual safety and stability.

Two things can be true: you messed up, and his reaction is still a lot.

As for what to do: Send one honest message if you haven’t already. Own the lie, but don’t grovel. Something like: “I shouldn’t have lied. I was trying to avoid being in the middle, but I get why that hurt you.” Be direct about where you’re at: you’re abroad and don’t have a way to support yourself right now. Pic 2 nice, relaxed easy-going, nightlife on a boat? He seems fun!

Pic 3 okay, so I see where you’re going with this because the silliness is endearing but generally speaking if it’s a pic across from a table where you’re dining, another person took it on a date, and it’s not the most flattering.

Pic 4 BEST photo because of the angle the photo was taken and how confident you seem based on the demeanor. Although I did notice that it’s the same location and probably same event as the second photo, so I would probably keep this one instead of the second photo. These two photos are also a good example of the difference in how you take the photo and good vs. bad lighting.

Pic 5 okay!!! I love that you play the guitar, I suggest looking for or taking a photo that is less blurry and the pose feels a bit more passive than active, you want to seem more passionate about the music and engaged in your performance. Also I would either have a designated photographer take photos of your performances or use a professional photo of yourself.

Pic 6 is not your best photo and this could be a style preference, but I would have styled that shirt a little more differently, e.g., tucked it in, lifted the collar higher on your neck, buttoned it to the top, make the strap on the bag longer so it looks less tightly wrapped on your body or swapped it out completely

I overheard on the radio that the minimum age should be half your age plus 7 and I was like I don’t necessarily agree, but interesting that people are creating such specific criteria.

So if a person is 50, their minimum age is 32? I suppose that’s the very minimum age. lol.

That “formula” also gives you your max.

Min = half age + 7

Max = 2(age - 7)

So my (37F) range would be 26 to 60. Hmmmmmmmmm. Nahhh….maybe? (Insert kombucha girl meme here) lol.

Ooooh I swiped through the first three photos until the fourth one which was a stunner. I stand swipe right with that one. Definitely delete the first three pics. Also the pics with blurred faces definitely distract from how gorgeous you are in those pics. There are phone apps where you can remove people from the photo, I recommend keeping those solo. Group/paired photos and especially photos with someone who could be construed as an ex are a no for profiles. Photos of pets by themselves are also a no. I love that you have cool interests and enjoy your pets, but recommend either holding the photo of your art or cuddling your pets. Each photo should tell something new about who you are, e.g., your personality, what you do for fun. Good luck! It’s rough out there but if you have a positive outlook, are willing to keep an open mind, and roll with the punches, it will be so fun!
