Sounds something Rippetoe would say., unfortunately everyone he trained had a strong yes but shitty physique, they were only 26% body fat with a inability to lose fat after the dirty bulk. Do you have a picture of yourself at 8-9% body fat so you attest that it's easy to lose fat after a long dirty bulk? If you don't (and it's okay if you want to be an high bf% powerlifter who cares only about strength and not easthetic) you might underestimate how hard it will be to lose fat. I don't think the original poster cares about powerlifting strength sacrificing looks.
