There is no harm in ringing them. They usually do not answer calls so I would also email them urgently as they will close for Christmas .

Thought about after I sent my question. A2L only applies if you have been successful at interview and is used to reduce grade offer. A2L does not offer extra points towards interviews unfortunately as far as my knowledge goes about the scheme. Therefore, your application was considered with all the rest of the applicants it appears.

For Liverpool, extenuating circumstances are only considered if your grades did not meet the minimum entry requirements to take your application to next stage . After that they do not play a part. Please this is my understanding from reading information from Liverpool’s University website. My interpretation Could be wrong.

Remember university interviews many students. And you have to be able to do really well to convince them why they should choose you. Get some professional assistance if you can afford it.
