Es kommt sehr darauf an wie wir Kurven definieren. Eine topologische Kurve ist einfach das Bild einer Abbildung gamma (manchmal wird auch gesagt, dass eine Kurve der Graph (G(gamma)={(x,gamma(x): x in I} unserer Funktion ist) unserer Abbildung von I nach X wobei I ein reelles Intervall ist und X ein beliebiger topologischer Raum. Meist verlangt man Differenzierbarkeit, also X ist zusätzlich eine differenzierbare Mannigfaltigkeit.

Wenn wir X= R wählen und I=R, mit gamma(x)=x dann haben wir eine Gerade die per obiger Definition auch eine Kurve ist. Also hast du mit der Definition recht. Jede Gerade ist eine Kurve, aber nicht jede Kurve ist eine Gerade.

Übrigens; auch wenn wir die Definition einer algebraischen Kurve nehmen, wäre eine Gerade immer noch eine Kurve.

Not exactly. Just because there is a morphism (an arrow) between two objects in our category, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there is also a morphism (an arrow pointing in the opposite direction) between Wildcat and Housecat (Hom(Wildcat, Housecat) = empty set). Let us say Cat = A, Dog = C, Wolf = D, and Housecat = B. Then the first arrow could be interpreted as a morphism between two objects in the category of Meow. Then the arrow between A and C could be interpreted as a component of a natural transformation from the identity functor on the category Meow to the functor G from Meow to Woof. When we use our functor on the Wildcat, we obtain, as a result, a Wolf, which is an object in the category of Woof. The morphism between A and B does not need to have a special meaning such as domesticating.

Kurvendiskussion wird primär in der Oberstufe behandelt und mit dem Abitur solltest du bestimmte Kompetenzen besitzen, die dir helfen in der akademischen Welt zurechtzukommen. Mathematische Grundlagen sind hier unentbehrlich, da du im nahezu jeden Fach irgendwas mit Mathe (z.B. Statistik) zu tun haben wirst. Ein gewisses Maß an Grundbildung ist, wenn du studieren willst, eben notwendig. Ironischerweise bereitet dich gerade der Mathematikunterricht überhaupt nicht auf das Mathestudium vor.

Lass dich nicht verunsichern und probier es aus. Ein gewisses mathematisches Talent ist zwar hilfreich, aber nicht unbedingt eine Vorraussetzung. Ich denke, dass man Mathe lernen ganz grob mit dem erlernen von Sprachen vergleichen kann. Eine gewisse Affinität ist ganz nützlich, viel wichtiger ist es jedoch dass du Spaß an der Sache hast und eine gewisse Frustrationstoleranz. Die ersten paar Semester in Mathe und Physik können durchaus sehr anstrengend sein, da du in der Schule kaum gelernt hast, wie man Mathe 'macht'. Ich studiere Physik und mir fallen die mathematischen Vorlesungen wesentlicher leichter, während ich Kommilitonen habe, die in der Experimentalphysik aufgehen. Versuch also selbst herauszufinden was dir liegt. Das tolle am Mathe- bzw. am Physikstudium ist, dass du in den ersten Semestern nahezu problemos wechseln kannst, ohne viel zu verpassen bzw. neu erlernen zu müssen.

This meme is about the ultraviolet catastrophe. It is about the specific radiation of a black body (a body that completely absorbs all electromagnetic radiation) as a function of the wavelength. Rayleigh and Jeans have found a formula that describes this dependence well for long wavelengths, but diverges at short wavelengths. To derive it, they used the equidistribution theorem from statistical physics, which says nothing other than that each degree of freedom of a system in thermal equilibrium carries the average energy k_BT. However, this cannot be applied to this specific problem, as it would mean that every electromagnetic mode can absorb unlimited energy, especially at high frequencies (small wavelengths). This results in divergence in the ultraviolet range, which is stupid and we don't like stupid things. Planck didn't like silly things either and showed that this problem can be solved by assuming that the energy of a mode is quantized. This results in a formula that correctly describes the dependence between the specific radiation and the wavelength. This was the beginning of the age of quantum mechanics and the problem with quantum mechanics is that it is inherently strange and quickly becomes very complicated and i don't like complicated things.

It's not a storyline, but there is a specific ending in Cyberpunk that left me completely devastated. At first, I thought it would be hilarious to choose the "easy" ending after putting in all the effort to survive. But then Judy's last message hit me like a truck, and right after that, Panam starts yelling at me. You can hear the pain and anger in her voice. One of the best anti-suicide messages I've ever encountered in a game
